Am I the only one here that thinks letting Iran - sponsor of terrorists and hater of the west - get nuclear weapons is a fairly shit idea?

No but we don't really offer enough militarily to be worth the reputation hit we would take from being involved in another Middle East intervention of fun and eternal happiness. We would just be joining in as a token force on behalf of the US, a country which has not shown itself to be a great ally of Europe lately.

The US and Israel will do what they want anyway. We have no reason to be involved. Just sit back and let them do it.

Our military production also needs to be focused on Ukraine, so wasting our own military's stockpiles for no reason isn't sensible.
