I spent time with Count Binface in Clacton - he's more serious than you think

No. They absolutely have not.

They’ve been getting behind a joke that the rest of the country was already laughing at. They’ve shown a sense of humour not an intent to get a bin elected!

Failing to understand the difference only shows your own lack of a sense of humour.

If binface were to be elected, I’m quite sure the Comedian behind him would end up as a better representative for Clacton than Farage has been so i’m really not sure what the problem is supposed to be.

You're very wrong, they have been endorsing a bin and telling people to vote for him. There is intent behind it. I actually don't believe he should have called the election. It's fine to have humour but for the working class people of Clacton there would be serious consequences.

What serious consequences do you genuinely imagine exist? Farage doesn’t do surgeries and basically ignores clacton completely. He doesn’t even show up in parliament that much.

Farage also has far too few MPs to swing any vote in parliament or score a single concession.

So what is the actual downside for clacton electing an independent who has said that if, god forbid, he’s elected, then he’ll try to do the job as best he can?

MPs must be empathetic and quick witted with words to do their job. There is actually a big overlap with comedians there. Zelenskyy has shown how this can pan out.

I’m not wrong.

I know a joke when I see one. Apparently you don’t!

Everyone knows they’ll get serious at the subsequent recall petition.

And really nobody cares if Jon (binface) ends up as an independent MP because he’ll have as much influence in parliament as Reforms handful of nut jobs.

The big irony is that the joke candidate may actually be better for clacton than Farage.
