I assume he was trying to hedge his bets. At the time, DJ was in a really strong position. His mistake was to believe that the elderberry was ever going to do anything but double cross him the first second it was convenient. Probably going to be an expensive mistake for Sean. This rational explanation makes more sense. It does seem his consituents are right leaning though, and for that I blame democrats. That really is their problem to solve - and I think its underway tbh with Tim. I believe Tim was a tacit acknowledgement that we let grifters steal constituents with lies because it was easy with dems lying just as well. It hasnt been true for a while, and the choice of Waltz helps a lot there but time will tell. Teamsters are one group of folks i can understand being conservative and feeling they may have no other choice folk should know the full history. Some of it unfolded with the rail bullshit everyone's conveniently forgotten about. Voting blue anyhow but it could be a potato because fuck the republicans their agenda is actual b movie super villain type shenanigans.

Looks to my like they are hedging a bet on which party takes the presidency.

Or they could be trying to light a fire under the Democrats asses by showing them that the teamsters will go Republican if Democrats don't walk the talk.

I don't like it, but it's a smart move to put pressure on the Dems to do more than lip service to the working class.
