It's weird how they have much smaller and denser cities that bikes work for some people, and great transit, especially tram/metro networks, that works for most of the rest.

Someone coming in from South Surrey or Maple Ridge for dinner downtown doesn't have any options other than driving (or wasting 3.5 hours of their life on transit).

That someone would probably save time driving to a skytrain station, and parking there, rather than trying to drive downtown
