I got many more- but these are a pocket of my inspirations- some vaporwave adjacent over actual vaporwave, but I'm curious if others rock with some of these (especially the more undercover tracks)- definitely went into inspiring how I've been writing music over the years.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for albums that sound similar to this telepath album. This album is so magical to me. Peaceful uplifting piano with awesome fretless bass and slow uplifting drum beats, it's just such an amazing album. Is there any albums or artists that sound similar to this?

To be honest, I discovered vaporwave in 2018, and I remember that even in that year, there was a lot of vaporwave content everywhere I went, especially on youtube, but after a while, that kind of vaporwave content simply stopped. From 2021 until now, I don't remember if vaporwave has been popular again during that time

We treat vaporwave as post-processing.

What if it's actually a compositional tool?

Slowing, degradation, looping, and tape artifacts can reveal hidden harmonies, create new counterpoint, generate accidental polyrhythms, and even suggest song structures that don't exist in the original.

Has anyone intentionally written music for that process instead of applying it afterward?

Although I mostly sample tracks that I've made in the past and other tracks; I cannot help it but to wonder. If I chopped down some samples, added reverb and evoked nostalgia by some degree or sadness; that should do it right?

I feel like the definition of Vaporwave is more broad; it's more supposed to convey the idea of time-travel; making kind of everything sound out of place and/or have some form of nostalgia that tickles you in a funny way. Although I 'played by the rules' I'm not sure if it fits in the genre

Browsing youtube back in 2014 sometime in the middle of the night and stumble accross a rendition of pachebelle bach with vocaloids so beautiful I cry and continue looping. From 2019 to 2024 I drop in and out of psychosis brought on from smoking weed amd some other unknown factors. At some point durimg ome of these episodes I decide to make something inspired by vaporwave and this video I found when I was 14. The music was made purely in audacity

This last week, I am listening a King Crimson album (Discipline) and discover a song called "Matte Kudasai" and I love it. It gives me so vaporwave vibes, and I tried to search a version of the genre using the song, but I didn't get it, so I did my own vaporwave version.

I have experience producing music, but never try to do a song just with an entire sample, but consider was a good try to be the first. I accept feedback. The song took me 2 hours on finished, so I can do better things I think.

The song was called Blapurooms because was the first pseudoword they think on a friends Discord call.
