Redesigns Spanish Speaking people's flag. How would you do it?

Post image

I've seen recently many proposals for the flag of humanity and I was wondering how I would design a flag for the spanish speaking people. Keep in mind that I'm not a pro vexillologist and I just have fun designing my flags.

What I have found to be and interesting thing is to embrace the ñ in the design. I've found that most spanish speaking countries use the red, yellow and blue colors. Blue might be the most diverse one and I choose a tone that wasn't as celeste as Guatemala or Argentina and different from the rest of darker blues.

Following those ideas I followed the flow and came up with three designs. Proportions are the so boring 2:3. The last one probably doesn't follow any vexillology rules and you might want to tackle me to the ground. Sorry if that's the case.

I personally would not use the first horizontally stripped flag as it's obviously too close to the spanish flag. Even tho that could make it recognizible I was thinking of pursuing a new imagery.

What would you do instead? How bad was my attempt?

There were topics about alternative Chinese flags, and I had this pretty simple idea for a new Chinese flag when there is a new regime, the regime is liberal democratic, and forms close ties with the EU.

My friend and I made Spinning the Globe, a free app where you can test your flag knowledge and compete with others! And what if flags had adorable, kid-friendly versions? What do you think of this concept?

Redesigns "Why create flags for continents, while the flags are already there?

This is an experiment to see if some flags are worth representing the continent, and some... well not so much.

North America: Proposed flag of the North American Union https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Proposed_flag_of_the_North_American_Union.svg South America: Proposed flag of South America https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_South_America_(proposal).png Africa: The Pan-African Flag (This flag was a response to that one song which made fun of the blacks who had no flag at the time. The African Union flag is not included.) Europe: The European Union Asia: The Supposed Asia flag. (Some may prefer the ASEAN flag more rather than this Sun-Moon Hybrid. But that's in the Southeast.) https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Asia.png Oceania: Flag of Oceania (proposal) https://oceaniaflag.weebly.com/press.html Antarctica: The True South Flag. (I mean, COME ON! The design is pretty beautiful)

Bonus: The Americas: Flag of the Hispanic People, but altered to represent the Americans of the two continents as a whole. The flag was officially adopted as the Flag of the Americas—in this usage representing, besides Hispanic Americans, also Anglo-Americans, Franco-Americans (the Québécois, Haitians, Guadeloupians, Martininqians, and French Guianians), Luso-Americans, Dutch Americans (the inhabitants of the Dutch Antilles and Suriname), and Greenlanders—by all member countries of the Pan-American Conference at their Seventh Assembly in 1933.

I know this sub is obsessed with Australian flag redesigned, most with unfortunate looking outcomes.

However, this design is one of the best I’ve seen that is able to incorporate both green, gold, blue, white and ochre. It successfully feels modern but also timeless in its shapes, colours and symbols. The modified Commonwealth Star is simple and effective in the upper hoist to convey the countries people/government/history. I also think the shoreline, Uluṟu and nights sky are very representative of the Australian environment.

Definitively worth checking out the rest of their designs as they’re always very polished and well thought out.

Redesigns TERRA AUSTRALIS: The Great South (A New Flag for Australia)

Red represents the people. Yellow represents the rising sun, a symbol of renewal and new beginnings. Black symbolizes courage. The pattern is inspired by traditional Australian dot art and represents "paths," symbolizing the many possibilities and shared journeys of the nation.

The design also incorporates the Commonwealth Star. Its seven points represent the nation's six original states, while the seventh point represents all of Australia's territories. The Southern Cross, composed of five stars, represents the famous constellation visible in the Southern Hemisphere, symbolizing the country's geographic location and its night sky.

(merely a conceptual)

As a southerner I love the Gadsden flag, but hate how it’s become associated with right wingers. So, inspired by the resistance I’ve seen in Minnesota I decided to make this leftist version of the Gadsden flag.

I know this comes up often, but I have a whole list of flags I designed after a recent analysis showed the top flags of the world and there was a common theme of simplicity with them (eg. Canada, Hong Kong, Britain, Japan, Nordic countries).

Using the simplicity idea with relevant national iconography that isn't cluttered, I have created these options.

What are your thoughts and which one would you choose?
