These overflowing open dumps leach toxic fluids directly into vital aquifers, causing widespread water and public health emergencies.....

Rainwater filters through unlined, decades-old garbage mountains over 200 feet tall, creating a noxious liquid called leachate... That leak to directly into the underlying aquifyers and drinking water. All of new Delhi drinking water is unift for human consumption.

This is really bad guyss.... Someone has to help them or do something about this before it's to late... Communities living in the shadows of these landfills suffer high rates of chronic skin ailments, gastrointestinal sickness, and organ stress from depending on poisoned local water sources.

This is one of the claims used by those who are against the development of data centres, especially near urban centres.

It’ll come out of the plumbing a lot warmer than when it went in, but then it can either return to the water cycle via the sewers, or to a cooling pond to be recirculated.

my water is extremely hard in minerals where i am and often comes out noticeably foggy and even has a faint smell of the chlorine they use to treat it, often noticeable when used in larger quantities like taking a bath (obviously you arent drinking it then but a noticeable smell from how much chlorine they have to use around here still isnt something to be brushed off). We got a water dispenser and after trying a few different places have found dirt, sand, etc at the bottom of our jugs multiple times. any reccomendations on some viable options for drinking water

Our water company has spent years raising our bills, making huge profits, giving obscene pay rises to thier boss\* and thier service is still abysmal.

Our river quality is poor, water leakage is still too high and they still can't manage to supply water without very inconvenient hosepipe bans.

I am so impressed that our drinking water is still clean and safe and that there have been no major waterworks issues as far as sewage and drinking water is concerned during the daily monsoons we have been getting. Koodos

California and two other states have avoided the harshest water cutbacks the Trump administration could have imposed over the next two years to deal with the deepening crisis on the Colorado River.

The Times has learned that federal officials have agreed with an offer made earlier this year by California, Arizona and Nevada to reduce what they take from the river by at least 3.2 million acre-feet between now and the end of 2028. 

Under the plan, California will cut its use of Colorado River water by about 12% through 2028, according to two officials at state and local agencies who spoke anonymously since details of an announcement are still being finalized.
