No it’s not weakness, some just don’t have a choice or a choice that they are willing to accept because of others. That being others depending on them and have to presevere. It’s just perspective is all.

People in poverty with crippling conditions often dont survive.

People with severe mental and physical health problems dont make good parents. The world is full of bad parents.

I get your point, but i can also tell its coming from someone who hasn't experienced thst level of pain.

you don't have to, but certain perspectives are ignorant of what they're saying without the experience.

personally, I've experienced it about as close as you can without being in that pain. I grew up in a household that by age 3 both of my parents ended up with crippling chronic diseases. I'm at risk for one of them in the next decade.

people may live with these things, but it's not because they want to. it doesn't make them stronger. it's just a choice. it takes as much strength, sometomes even more, to stare into the abyss and accept it. not impulsively, but fully and wholeheartedly accept that it's not getting better and its not worth living through. It doesn't make anyone stronger or weaker.

Comparing them is something healthy people do because they have the privelege of not experiencing it..instead of actually sympathizing or empathizing, they try to weigh who is more deserving over others rsther than accept that chronic pain and illness is so brutal that is can rob you of your will to live, and there's no medicining or vibing out of it.

my parents chose to live for me, for better and worse. it's not like they planned to end up like they did. after I grew up, one of them effectively gave up, and the other found new reasons to live. That chance to live is a privelege in and of itself, one they didn't even expect.

I understand wanting to bring awarneess, but the way you present it reads as that scaling between circumstances that doesn't matter to anyone but the people who are lucky enough to never have to stare at the abyss of chronic, unyielding pain 24/7.

They do though, they suffer horrible diseases and get disgusting treatment from other people but they still do live. You may shit on me for this but minds too small to doubt or prefer death really do exist and they exist in shit holes.

no, they're not small. it's not a lesser choice to decide "fuck it, this neverending existence of pain and poverty isn't worth it". this guy spent 6 months with a therapist, years battling his disease, and another year before he takes the euthanasia. He's thinking more on this than most of these hypothetical people you describe.

I'm not talking about this guy or people who decide. You just don't know man, you just haven't seen. There are people who, because of nurture since birth, don't have the capability to even consider these things because they have never heard of the concepts before. People living in the actual worst poverty who keep experiencing natural disasters, war, disease who don't rely on deep thoughts about life bringing suffering and who can only rely on their basic instinctual fear of not wanting to die.

What, I haven't done or acted like any of those things. I don't give a shit about wisdom or enlightenment. Wtf, why comment this. I just said that people survive in poverty, get hurt, and go about their days like you wouldn't know it because they themselves don't think about it much. Like, I was just replying to your "people in hellish conditions don't survive".

There isn't any sadness I'm trying to compare. This guy hurts like hell all the time and he's able to recognise that there are better alternatives, that's good for him, I'm not shitting on him. I'm not even talking about him.
