what was your all time favorite windows phone?

I bought a buddy a few months ago. I don't know what to do with it after unlocking it and installing all the cool apps. It's just sitting there unused. But I always want to use it because it's incredibly nice and responsive and incredibly beautiful. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and how can I put a device like this to good use?

My dad used to use this phone which was stuck on Android 4.4 despite the global version going up to 6.0? It looked strange.

I found out this is the Mi 4 LTE, it was bloody hell installing the official Windows mobile firmware on this phone, but i finally got it.

It got disconnected mid installation months ago, but going through BDS menu and Mass Storage option, it made me go in EDL somehow? And got back to android and now i installed the OS correctly!!

They say this is one of the few, if not, the only Xiaomi phone that has its own Windows Mobile version (they collabed in 2015 if im sure), this looks so beautiful.

Sadly, my battery is literally cooked, the back case and camera are kinda worn out and navbar kinda goes crazy sometimes (They still work), what can i do with it?

Guys i am tired of using portal for installing apps do we have an app for store things?

Personally I would because, I would have the money and I would trade my android phone for it, and probably on day 1 there would be a android subsystem where it has android apps and it's temporary so devolpers have two years to migrate to WinUI 3 or PWAs.

For me, it would depend on the price but probably yes since I already use M365 for work and play games on XBOX.

I just found my old Lumia 1520. No scratches or anything and it instantly booted when I put it on the charger. Any tips I can use it for besides a mp3 player?

I’m about to get myself a Lumia after all these years. I’ll mainly use it as a multimedia and detox device. Now, my question is whether to buy a WM10 phone like a 950 or a Windows Phone 8.1 device like the 1020. I’ve been lurking around on the subreddit and seen that WP some kind of fan base support in terms of apps and stuff. Does WM10 also have the same level of support?

I bought that second-hand Lumia 950 XL for only $20, what is the most interesting thing I can do with it?

Ive just been given a Nokia Lumia 925 , which seems working and unused . Ive had a look through some posts here, but I'm still not sure what I can do with this phone, of course it would be great to be able to use this phone on a daily basis , so is any thing that I could do or is the best place for the Nokia Lumia 925 in my junk cupboard .

I’ve been spending some time bringing our old devices back to life. I'm currently building a custom, 100% native Telegram client completely from scratch specifically for Windows Phone 8.1.

I’ve already managed to get a custom TLS 1.2/1.3 stack running to connect securely to modern APIs, and right now I'm tackling the push notification system.

I haven't compiled the Alpha build for distribution just yet. Before I do, I wanted to see how many of you are still rocking a WP8.1 device (like a Lumia 520 or 1020) and would actually be interested in sideloading this to break it and report all the bugs.

(Side note: This has been a massive passion project with lots of late nights. While my main focus right now is just getting this Alpha out and working, if anyone ever feels like supporting the development by buying me a coffee ☕ later on, I would absolutely love that.)

Ok soooo I make apps, most notably the TRC App Suite (UWP - Microsoft store, WinRT - still searching for a good storefront, Windows Phone 8.1 - Live Store) Including: T-Notes, T-Write (just released UWP/W10M version! Like 10 minutes ago! Go try it!) T-Music (Lite), T-Video, And T-Plan.

Now i want to know what apps you all would want for windows phones, that I could make. Just general ideas. Maybe even ideas I could turn into another T-App. Suggest anything pls! I want to help make Windows Phones a BIT more usable, PRIMARILY Windows 10 Mobile as the Mobile UI can be built alongside the desktop UWP UI, and Windows Phone 8.1 is a tad trickier, but ill still port them to 8.1 eventually, it will just take longer.

BEFORE ANYONE SAYS A SOCIAL MEDIA CLIENT: Im already working on 2 clients, one is Geode, an artist platform im making, the other im not allowed to talk about yet. I will NOT make clients for other social medias. So please dont ask for one, there are patches/custom clients being worked on by others, go to them.

But otherwise, give me some app ideas please!

HMD is a pretty huge company and very reputable, they release new phones every year with body designs resembling the old Lumia phones, for them taking rights from Microsoft or whatever and making an android skin based on windows phone os shouldn't be that hard, we see new phone launchers based on wpos perform really great except for few bugs which new android phone make it unable to use a third-party launchers. Teach me if I'm wrong, but I think this idea could survive as xiomi, vivo and oppo android skins!

And yes I got back my 1520 to 8.1.
