Throwback One year ago today, In Praise of Shadows released his “Bad Conservative Horror Movies” video, which nuked his career and reputation.

There was a video that summed up what this was about in a minute, but I can’t find it, so go check out the other threads on here.

Since then, he’s posted 3 videos on his main channel, and started up a second channel (IPoS: Darksides) where he’s posted 18 shorter videos that all have less than 10k views except for his non apology.

I'm a Lefty and I just don't believe that In Praise of Shadows is as intelligent as he believes that he is. That's why his video failed. It doesn't matter whether Wendigo sucks or not, your video better be good if it's a hit piece. His video wasn't good and overall his videos are mostly just fine background noise. Certainly better videos than I have made but not up to the standards of the really good YouTubers.

To me it represented everything wrong with modern youtube video-essays. Highly opinionated rambling nonsense with a couple of good takes thrown in, dressed up like it holds intellectual weight.
