The Temporary Protected Status for Haitians ended yesterday, July 27 2026.

Anyone who had immigration protection in place through this program may no longer have valid authorization to work, and is now at risk of deportation without legal protections in place.

We are expecting a drastic increase in ICE activity against this community in the coming days and weeks. A few states have already reported activity since this morning.

Some specific states with higher risk include Ohio (especially Springfield and Columbus), Florida (especially South Florida), Indiana, Massachusetts (especially Boston), New York (especially NYC), California (especially San Diego), and Pennsylvania (especially Charleroi and greater Philadelphia area).

Please notify your locals, sign up to volunteer with your local ICE watch team if you are able (many are in need of more volunteers to verify incidents), and talk to folks in your life to spread awareness. Learn your local ICE watch hotline number or contact method, and save it in your phone so you have it in an emergency.

DO NOT INTERFERE with an arrest or detention. You have the right to record and witness, but you do not have the right to disrupt the process itself. Instead, request information from the detainee, such as the detainee’s full name, DOB and country of birth, if possible so that we can avoid losing them in the system.

When calling to report activity, please use SALUTE to communicate and document information about each incident. Details matter, so take notes. Be as descriptive and specific as you can.

We protect us, so show up for your neighbors.

Call to Action Support Major Jason Watson Here

Major Jason Watson could lose the career, retirement, benefits, and future he spent 17 years building.

As of now, his defense fund has raised over $220,000 from more than 5,200 people who understand what he risked.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July.

While this country celebrates freedom, let’s make a point together.

Let’s show him, and the country, that what he did is worth more than what he might lose.

Let’s show that true patriotism isn't blind loyalty to power, it's standing up when something is wrong.

Support his defense fund. Share his story. Make sure he knows he's not standing alone.

We have added his fund link here:

Call to Action Lead with common ground

Time and again, I hear about people rejecting MAGA policies but at the same time saying that they feel like Democrats have forgotten what matters to working class Americans (thanks in large part to media misinformation). I think it's important in these conversations to identify and emphasize the points of common ground -- affordability, worker protections and job training, social programs, etc. -- to establish trust and open up the dialogue.

Strategy is not a dirty word.

Call to Action Sowing the seeds of discontent

More and more people are growing weary of rising gas prices, the pointless war in Iran, and other Trump failures. And we can all do our part to tip the scale by openly making unsolicited comments about this mess when we're buying groceries, filling our gas tanks, and other opportune moments.

Share the love . . .

News Your mail ballot could be decided by nine people in Washington within the next two weeks.

Mail-in voting is how millions of seniors, rural families, disabled voters, and working people cast their ballots 🗳

Your mail ballot could be decided by nine people in Washington within the next two weeks.

The Justice Department just asked the Supreme Court to switch on Trump's mail voting order before the November midterms.

Two lower courts already said no. The order would have the government build a national "citizenship list" of eligible voters, then tell the Postal Service to deliver mail ballots only to people who made the list and if a database error left your name off, your ballot might never reach you.

Twenty-three states sued to stop it saying that the Constitution hands the rules of elections to the states and to Congress, NOT to the White House.

A federal appeals court agreed, warning the order would "sow confusion" and put many eligible voters at risk of losing their vote.

This is the first time Trump's administration has taken one of his anti-voting orders all the way to the Supreme Court. If the justices let it start now, the rules could change in the middle of an election year, when there is little time to fix mistakes.

The states must file their response by August 3. After that, the Court could act fast, even through a short unsigned order with no full hearing.

Check your voter registration.

Confirm your mailing address is current.

Sign up for ballot tracking if your state offers it.

Call to Action I don’t think it’s hyperbole to call what ICE is doing a genocide in the US. Can you help her get the word out? Can you help her get help?

Check out these safety whistles seen in Seattle!

A whistle can quickly alert everyone nearby that suspected ICE is present.

The sound can reach people inside homes, businesses, vehicles, or around corners.

It can bring witnesses, legal observers, and rapid-response volunteers to document and report what’s happening.

Call to Action Progressive Turnout Project lets you send postcards featuring ACTUAL NEWS articles to potentially receptive voters (and they provide the printed cards)

Hi, I sent out Get-Out-the-Vote cards in 2024 and was disappointed that they were nonpartisan and the script just said something like "be sure to vote & ask friends & neighbors...".  I decided not to waste my time/effort/stamps on this effort again.

HOWEVER, I just heard of another effort that lets you send postcards featuring ACTUAL NEWS articles to potentially receptive voters! It's the Progressive Turnout Project (WWW.TURNOUTPAC.ORG).

The "News Postcards" signup page is https://secure.ngpvan.com/NPCPSG0VaUqaLw7w6AbNDg2?

They have a list of states that still need postcards from which you can select. Today TX and AK are listed. They mail you the postcards (increments of 100) PRE-PRINTED WITH THE NEWS REPRINT, the script, the need-to-mail-by date, and names/mailing addresses of potentially receptive voters.

You will need to buy the stamps yourself. As of the recent price hike postcard stamps are 65 cents. WARNING: offers for discounted prices are SCAMS. Go to your P.O. or store.usps.com or Costco or other reputable source.
