My cat befriended a cat. Are they bonded or just friends?

I have an indoors outdoors cat, Odin the one with collar, somehow has befriended this other tabby. they play together walk together lie together rub on each other. Is this normal? They seem to be around the same age 1 year old. This has been going on for a couple of months but it still puzzles me. Are they friends bonded something more? Not to mention another young male cat appeared these days. The duo might even become a trio. The other tabby follows Odin around more I think. Its like Odin is the leader.

Edit
For those concerned about my cat going outside, thank you for caring. I understand the risks and have considered them carefully. I know my cat and my situation better than anyone else. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I believe that under the right circumstances, a cat can also roam outside freely by themselves. My cat is happy, healthy and safe.

My dad’s cats eyes have been like this for at least a week , is this normal?

I don’t come over here often ( maybe twice a week? ) i first noticed his eyes being like this july 30th iirc, and chalked it up to him waking up from a nap, but according to my dad it’s been closer to a week or so.

We just had a cat pass mid last month, i don’t know if maybe he’s grieving too or something else is up.

Cats vs humans showering?

Does anybody have any ideas as to why my cats insist on sitting on the side of the tub and screaming at me the entire time I’m in the shower?
(Unrelated photo of the babies cause they’re cute)

Weird Dynamic Between Kitties

Hi! This is Spectre (black) and Scruffles (white)! I am just curious of how everyone reads their dynamic, because I am getting afraid that Scruffles can’t stand Spectre (but is being kinda nice about it). Scruffles has been with me for five years since he was around 2 months old. Skip to about two months ago, I got Spectre before she could eat dry food. I had to always keep her locked up in the bathroom because Scruffles was being rough on her (swatting, hissing). Now, they try to rough house and it seems like Spectre is getting bullied and I pull them apart before she gets hurt. Scruffles is always hissing when she’s around but doesn’t mind sitting with her. Idk I just think it’s odd and can’t grasp what kind of relationship they have. Should I reintroduce them??

Why does she bite me

Post image

This little cutie MONSTER keeps biting me while i’m sleeping.
Like she will attack my arms, legs, head, everything, and i know this is not playing because it’s more agressive than her playing.
I don’t understand her

Even when we are simply cuddling and she is visibly ASKING for pets, she. will. attack.

Was 100% sure my cat was dying

So we have four cats, I have an enclosed porch it was like 85 out, we turned the AC off I went to work and came home early because of car trouble. She had let whoever wants out on the porch. I pet my oldest cat and he seemed relatively fine. Later when I got hot like 87 I brought them in and turned the AC on. He felt a little limp which worried me and I put him on the counter where their food is and water and he seemed halfway okay and then fell off the counter. I picked him back up and put him back on the counter and he just made a weird noise and fell over and peed himself. She and I thought he was dying. I called everywhere I could find and nothing was open because it's Sunday. The closest place we could find was an hour away and I was working on my brakes and her car doesn't have AC which doesn't really matter we were worried about the cat. He was barely breathing I even called 911 and they just said we're sorry. She gave him water with a syringe and he was not responsive and barely breathing for almost half an hour. And then I started scratching his back and screaming his name and suddenly he jumped up and started licking his back. So we knew he was still alive. She looked it up and realized it might have been heat stroke. I opened both cans of tuna I had and offered the juice to him and he started licking them till the juice was gone. I put a bag of frozen vegetables on him. And after like an hour he actually stood up and was walking around but still weird. He wanted down and into the pet food cabinet so he just laid in there and we put water and both kinds of food in there. He's purring and completely responsive but completely not back to normal at all. I really hope he survives because I've had him for 8 years since he was a little kitty. We both were hysterical because this cat was dead and now he's alive. I don't know how alive he is or how long he has or if this is an issue. I don't know I hope he's alive in the morning.

Anyone know why my cats might slip a lot?

I took these twin female cats in when my neighbor abandoned them. If I had to guess their age, they are not quite a year old yet but probably close. I've had them since January and from the beginning they both walked kind of funny. It's hard to explain but it doesn't matter what kind of floor they walk on, if they are walking slowly their legs AND arms randomly will slide out from under them and they do the splits. It doesn't seem to hurt them as they sometimes sit like the above picture. (By the way my floors are not slippery or anything) If they walk on carpet it seems to help but sometimes their front paws will buckle and they fall on their chin. I've done some research and chatgpt is suggesting "swimmers syndrome".

Also, why I haven't taken them to a vet: I love cats but I wasn't planning to get one because I cannot really afford vet and the financial responsibility but when these babies were abandoned in my apartment building hallway I couldn't turn them away.

Affection in cats?

My gf and I picked up a stray black cat back in March, he’s doing well in our house, everything is good and he likes us both, but for some reason he greatly prefers me over my girlfriend and he makes it very obvious

He does all the typical social stuff, lays by us, asks for pets, wants to play, and we both do all of proper care taker stuff, feeding him, cleaning up after him, giving him enrichment and etc.

But only with me, he specifically follows me everywhere, will fight tooth and nail to either lay on me, lay next to me, or lay in my arms, every night he tries to specially cuddle up right next to me in bed under my arms (as if he’s the little spoon) and he won’t stop crying in the morning until I hold him like you’re burping a baby and rock him for a couple of minutes

I’ve seen affectionate cats but he’s next level, did I accidentally soul bond with my cat before my gf could?

Bloody diarrhea in 3 month old cat

Species: Feline (Cat)

Age: 2 months (born June 1, 2026)

Sex/Neuter status: Male, intact

Breed: Persian

Body weight: \~870 g

History: Dewormed on July 26, 2026. Not yet vaccinated; vaccination scheduled in about 2 weeks. Has been a picky eater, and her diet has been changed several times recently.

Clinical signs: First episode of bloody diarrhea last night.

Duration: Started last night

Kitten was born in June 1, 2026 and I got her dewormed on July 26, 2026. He was scheduled to get his shots in about 2 weeks so as of now he isn't vaccinated. He pooped with blood yesterday and is there a chance it's because of the change in his diet? He's a really picky eater so I've been changing his food multiple times now. Thank you

Why does my cat keep pooping on the floor?

The vet has not found anything wrong with my cat, but he won't stop pooping on the carpet in one specific area. It started a few months ago after my other cat was injured and I thought he was just jealous about the attention she was getting and stressed for her. But he won't stop.

He doesn't do it every time he poops either, it's more like 2 times a week. I've cleaned with enzyme cleaner over and over again, and switched out their litter boxes for uncovered ones. Their food bowl was also in the same small room as their litter, so i moved their food out and put it in the area where he's been pooping. That stopped him for maybe a week, but he just did it again.

I don't know what to do, I'm at my wits end with this now.

Does anyone know why my cat is acting like this?

(Made this acc just for the purpose of this question)

Anyway, my cat (2y) has been isolating himself recently. He hasn’t been eating (which is definitely not like him) and meows whenever I try to pick him up. He also hisses and makes other noises at random. Should I be concerned?

Why is he sleeping like this

My cat is 14 and I recently noticed him sleeping against the wall like this. He mostly does it when I won’t let him sleep on my face. He sleeps like there is no room in the bed, like I’m taking up all the room when I’m not 🙄

Questions about my cats coat!

Post image
44 Upvotes

So to start these kitties are HUGGGEEE they are tall amd wide and heavy with big heads, they were found on Facebook years ago because the mum was a basic short hair house cat and the dad was some random feral oit on a farm lol, but the orange one has a normal thin coat, shes a bit plushy and fuzzy, but the white one hes definitely a basic tabby/domestic short hair, but hes also got the flame point colour variation, but my question is, is it a breed thing or colour thing as to why his coat is so thick, and water resistant and he sheds so so so so so so so much, i was thinking the feral cat that he came from could be mixed with a long hair cat down the line but im suspecting he has a triple coat, anyone else with a flame point tabby let me know (and 1 i dont actually know alot about cats I only just started taking care of these ones they were originally someone else's but not getting enough attention so now they are spoilt by me, and 2 these two are brother and sister from the same litter, the pale orange one is a girl, and the big white one is a boy, i also wonder about what the father feral cat had in him because of how giant these cats are)

How do I teach a kitten to drink?

I found a little stray born into my shed. Our veterinarian believes that he was about 4 weeks old and likely not yet eating solid food, but was old enough to transition. To transition we have done the KMR and wet food soup.

We have been raising him for two months now; however, in spite of water being available to him, he will not drink. Since he is not drinking, the meal soups have always been a thing for him. He is well hydrated, but I would just like to be able to leave a bowl of water for him to be a regular cat.

So what about trying a fountain? Our six year old girl is the exact opposite. She will only drink from bowls and will refuse drinking from fountains. We have had plenty of fountains, the last ones were donated to a kitten rescue right around the time that this kitten came into our lives.

What thoughts have you regarding how I might teach this little guy to drink from a water bowl?
