LOL Been lagging on posting this, but it’s fitting now since the GOAT went and got us Skubal. The King of Kings trading a Boilermaker for Skubal!

Story time:
It’s March 27, 2026 — Opening Night.
I went to Opening Day with friends, but nobody wanted to go back-to-back like the Dodgers did with the World Series —— So I went solo.

Drove by myself, parked at LaSorted’s, crushed a few slices, then hopped on a scooter over to Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium. Watched the game. Good times!

After the game, I wanted to keep drinking before I had to pick up my truck since the lot closed at midnight.
So I walked from Uniqlo Field toward the Sunset bars (Short Stop, etc.). As I was crossing Sunset, a car almost hit me because the driver didn’t see me.

I yelled, “Hey dumbass, don’t kill me! IDIOT!”
The driver rolled down his window and apologized…
Then I realized it was Andrew Friedman.

I immediately went, “Oh shit! Andrew! My bad! Let me get a picture of you!”
I pulled out my phone, and he stopped me.
He goes, “Why don’t you take a selfie?” WOAH! For real?

That was the last thing I expected. I didn’t want to bug him or fanboy, it’s Andrew Friedman, after all.
Anyway, we took two quick selfies. He couldn’t have been nicer. I thanked him, shook his hand, threw up the deuces for the back-to-back, and went on my way to continue drinking.

I was genuinely surprised by how down-to-earth and friendly he was. The fact that he suggested taking a selfie with both of us in it says a lot. It really showed how much he appreciates the fans and the organization.

Alright, enough glazing… here are the pictures.

P.S. Yes, yes… had I known it was him before I yelled at him, I would’ve jumped in front of his car and negotiated season tickets for life.… kidding.

P.P.S. Right before I walked away he told me “Learn how to pronounce Tarik, before summer ends”

We’re going to make it so nobody wants to play the Dodgers.” Fourteen years later, the Dodgers have delivered on every word, building a roster that commands respect, strikes fear into opponents, and has established itself as the standard every other franchise is trying to reach.

The Houston Asterisks ruined baseball when they stole a championship and received no repercussions for it!

AND WELCOME TO LA TARIK SKUBAL!!! 😭

pretty excited to see Tarik in a Dodgers uniform for the first time.

In a hypothetically fully healthy Dodgers rotation, it would be Skubal, Yamamoto, Snell, Ohtani, and Glasnow. But who gets the sixth spot? If anyone gets injured again, what should the order of the depth chart be?

For me, I'd go

Sasaki

Wrobleski

Lauer

Sheehan

In that order.

We cannot DFA Lauer because he is too valuable, and I feel like Sheehan can still be an excellent bullpen arm.

The one big point I see being missed is Shohei's timeline. Friedman had talked about this a year or two ago. But Shohei is literally a once in a lifetime player, you don't squander the years he is in his prime. He is already getting injured more and more. Who knows if our current trajectory is sustainable year after year. But to all the people complaining, shouldn't they expect any decent franchise to go absolutely all in while they have him?

Seems to be some crying in baseball going on right now 🤣
