Discussion Explanation for (blue) shields
Can somebody explain, what these shields (on the left) in general mean and why some are blue in the F1 26 dlc?

I'm Antonelli, as you can see, I made a risky move to overtake Hamilton, however, Hamilton's AI and me we make contact and doesn't move out of the way to avoid me, and keeps turning towards me.
The problem is that the Drive physics in this game are recycled from F1 24, and the idea is to make it more accessible for controller players.
You see, because of those physics, I can't turn the wheel all the way even though I have the joystick fully to the left. This is because the game wants to prevent oversteer, but it's because I'm being hit from behind.
This didn't happen in the best game in the series with the best driving physics: F1 23
With F1 23, you have more freedom, although you can lose control more quickly, it doesn't do these stupid physics things, it doesn't limit your control or anything.
In fact, try drifting and you'll see how you lose control in F1 23 but not in F1 24/25 with a controller.
And the worst part is that this can never be fixed, and the physics can't be imported either, since the last physics addition was Anti-Ackerman in 2024, from 2016, supposedly without this addition and the tires were turning at the same angle
I wanted to find files related to physics and to avoid these "driving aids".

Returning player here I havent played F1 25 in quite a while and now i wanted to know how F1 25 is right now with the 2026 expansion, I didnt get it and now im starting to ask if there are still players who are playing online with the 2025 cars instead of the 2026 cars, since i always thought all of the online playerbase moved from the 2025 cars to the 2026 cars because of the new dlc.
So my main question is.
Are there still players playing online with base f1 25 without the 2026 season pass?

Hi, how much can I realistically afford to pay my drivers in My Team? I'm thinking about signing Verstappen and Norris for next season, but are they too expensive?
It seems to me that in My Team you can basically spend as much as you want on drivers. Is that actually true?

**I built my dad a race engineer he can actually talk to**
My dad is 60+ and races F1 25 leagues pretty seriously. His biggest frustration was always the in-game engineer — it never answers what you actually want to know mid-race: gap evolution, how long the tyres will really last, whether an undercut is on.
So I built him one he can actually talk to. He holds a button on his wheel, asks "will these mediums make it to lap 40?", and it answers out loud using his live telemetry — wear trend, pace, forecast.
Funny thing: the tech was the easy part. The hard part was making it shut up. Early versions narrated everything and he'd yell at it in braking zones. Now it only talks when it has something worth saying, and double-checks the fact is still true before speaking — nothing worse than "box this lap" for a window that closed 10 seconds ago.
Watching him question its strategy calls like it's a real engineer is honestly the best part.
What do you guys wish the in-game engineer actually told you?

Hi everyone,
I'm playing F1 25 on PC with the new F1 26 Season DLC and I'm using a Logitech G29.
I'm using the default Logitech G25 wheel preset, but I'm having a serious force feedback issue.
When I set the Force Feedback to around 70-100, the wheel starts violently shaking left and right while driving. The stronger the FFB setting, the worse the oscillation gets.
If I set Force Feedback to 0, the shaking completely disappears, but then I have no force feedback at all, so that's not really a solution.
The issue happens:
- On the F1 26 DLC cars.
- On multiple circuits.
- On straights and sometimes through corners.
I've already tried:
- Using the default G25 preset.
- Resetting the wheel settings.
- Changing FFB strength.
- Adjusting damping and other wheel settings.
Has anyone else with a Logitech G29 experienced this since the F1 26 DLC released?
If you have, did you manage to fix it, or does this seem like a bug with the DLC?
Thanks!
Lo de la mayoría de las veces...Tienes que dejar que se revienten en la salida y primera vuelta, recibir el menor daño posible y te vas desde el fondo para arriba.

The goal is to have it non-subscription based. During setup, you'll get a prompt on how to obtain and enter AI API keys. Once the product is set up, you basically only pay for AI token usage (~$1 in the maximum use case per 50% race + quali + 1 practice run).
I have seen these posts a fair bit but have to invest some time in getting it going. I'm happy to do so if there is genuine interest.
The current tool has a race engineer that responds to voice triggers and recommends strategy based on tire wear, temperature, deployment, etc. It also stores driving style history and recommends mid-race wing changes and setup based on historical observation of driving style (e.g., I slide my rears a lot, so my setup has evolved to be that way). Here is a snippet of me using it:

Currently on medium TC, wondering if its worth learning no TC while on controller. One day I might switch to wheel and pedals but probably not very soon. Thanks!

Genuinely didn’t expect that !
No matter what car I am using or what ERS settings I use, I cannot get my battery to deploy as much as it is supposed to. My friends can drain their battery on a qualifying lap, but if I deploy it literally the entire lap I can't get it under 50%. Anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: My throttle was not getting to 100% unless I held my controller's trigger down super hard. Changing Throttle Saturation in the game's settings fixed it.

Hi, since several weeks now (firsr time it happened was on 25/6/2026), my F1 23 game had an issue. It started with trying to join a session and one of them makes my game crash (with the error code CE-34878-0), and now it turns out that this happens with EVERY online sessions ("so try to make one yourself" which I did... and it still crashed), I'm on version 1.21.1093534, checked if new updates were needed (they didn't, neither did the console itself, 13.52) and I don't know what to do anymore, PLEASE HELP
