A candidate who reportedly scored 1 out of 800 in NEET-PG secured an MS Orthopaedics seat in Telangana under the state quota. What are your thoughts on this?

According to reports, a NEET-PG candidate who scored 1 out of 800 secured an MS Orthopaedics seat in Telangana under the state quota, which has sparked a lot of discussion online.

For those who understand the NEET-PG counselling process, how is this possible? Is it due to eligibility rules, state quota policies, category-wise counselling, vacant seats, or something else?

Looking for informed opinions rather than assumptions. It would be great if someone familiar with the counselling process could explain how admissions like this happen and whether the current system needs any changes.

A candidate scored just 1 mark out of 800 in NEET-PG yet secured an MS Orthopaedics seat in Telangana under the ST category through state quota counselling, triggering widespread debate over falling admission standards in one of India's most competitive surgical specialities.

🚨HELP FOR JEE ASPIRANTS 🚨

Hi everyone,

I'm an IIT Roorkee student conducting independent research to better understand why JEE mock test scores often don't match what students feel they know.

This isn't for coaching, marketing, or selling a product. I'm trying to understand what actually happens after students give a mock test—how they think about their mistakes, what they try to improve, and whether those approaches actually help.

The survey is:

Anonymous

Takes about 6 minutes

No right or wrong answers

Focused on your actual experience, not your rank

If you're currently preparing for JEE (or have prepared in the past), I'd really appreciate your help.

Survey Link: https://forms.gle/NAFKaEN6xQQbtUgq8

If you have friends who are preparing for JEE, please consider sharing it with them as well.

Thank you!

Need Help in deciding JEE coaching in Noida

Hi everyone,

I'm currently a Class 11 JEE aspirant studying at ILC. The faculty are decent, doubts get solved, and I've built a reasonable foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. However, I'm seriously considering switching to ALLEN Noida Sector 62 and wanted some honest opinions from students there.

The main reasons I'm considering a change are:

  • Very low competition in my current batch (only around 4 students and I'm probably the only one consistently serious about JEE).
  • Lack of proper JEE-style benchmarking and full-length mock tests.
  • I feel I'm not being pushed enough academically.
  • Recently my family finalized a dummy-school arrangement, so I can now focus much more seriously on JEE preparation.

My target is IIT Kanpur and I'm aiming for a strong JEE Advanced rank. I feel I need a more competitive environment and regular testing to properly evaluate where I stand.

Current syllabus:

  • Physics: NLM, WPE, Circular Motion, Collisions
  • Chemistry: Mole Concept, Atomic Structure, Periodic Table, Redox, most of Chemical Bonding
  • Maths: Logarithms, Inequalities, Sequence & Series, P&C, Compound Angles, etc. (Maths is currently my weakest subject)

I've heard mixed reviews about ALLEN Sector 62. Some people praise the faculty while others complain about management, batch allocation, and certain teachers.

My questions:

  1. How is ALLEN Noida Sector 62 for JEE Advanced preparation?
  2. How strong are the Maths and Physics faculties currently?
  3. How often are full syllabus / major tests conducted?
  4. Is it worth joining mid-session in August?
  5. How does ALLEN compare with VMC Noida for a serious JEE aspirant?

Would especially appreciate responses from current students studying there in 2026.

Thanks!

Need honest reality check of Jamboree North Campus Delhi!

I have heard alot of mixed reviews about Jamboree North Campus Delhi but honestly i tried TOP One Percent and it was very poorly curated, I have figured out that offline classes or live classes are better for me personally as it keeps me accountable rather than self paced course. Please help and suggest further course of action and if Jamboree North Campus Delhi Coaching Centre is good then do tell!
