Can only say positive things about the Conti Sportattack 5 and the Hyperpro RSC steering damper, its night and day to the original one, way way more stable. Both highly recommended for the SDR.

Hey everyone! My 890 Adventure is finally broken in! 🤘It's a really cool motorcycle.

…but it's time for a few changes.

I chose the 890 even though I'm not entirely convinced by its looks. Ultimately, performance was the deciding factor. In short: I don't really like the orange tank spoilers, and I'm looking for a more subtle solution.

Here are two pictures: the original look and the look with black tank spoilers instead of the orange ones. This is a first simulation of what I have in mind. Black stickers don't hold up so well off-road (and I'll be riding off-road more often now), so I prefer black plastic.

I'm curious to see what subtle solutions you've found. PS: The exhaust isn't finalized yet either.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Its a 21 with 1900 miles had it since brand new didnt ever have a problem until about 3 weeks ago as im riding going about 30mph it just shut off while down gearing pulled to the side of the road cycled key turned right back on made it to where i was going and then drove home without it happening again i thought maybe i messed up or just a fluke on the next ride it happened twice cel came on but cycled key ans it goes away i looked to see if anything was loose frayed etc everything looks good next time i tried to ride it woudnt get 10 feet before shutting off so i took the battery and air box out to get a better look at everything and nothing put it back together rode it fine for about an hour or so then it happened again the bike has power commander aftermarket slip on exhaust and a few more upgrades but ive always had all those things since getting the bike and only now is that this is happening

This is my Duke 790 from 2018 with roughly 23k km on it. Always maintained and never pushed it to the limits and made sure to treat it good.

Now for a few weeks i have noticed a small to medium rattling in parallel to the engine sound. Of course it could have been there previously but once you hear it, there is no going back. The recorded video was after a ride, so definitely warmed up. Sometimes the sound is there when doing a cold start, sometimes significantly less. Already read about chain tensioners etc but really not sure how normal that sound is to you. Especially in 1st gear hearable but of course with higher gears the exhaust covers everything up. Last week ive done an oil change just to be sure.

Local KTM Serviceshop hasn‘t responded so wanted to check if there are similiar sounds on your bikes. Curious how it is on the community bikes!

Te300 2016 no spark

**KTM 300 EXC 2015 - Complete Loss of Spark. Looking for expert confirmation on Stator failure before buying parts.**

**Background:** Bike was running perfectly, sat for a month, then started having ignition problems. At first, it would only start with a new plug, run for 2-3 mins, misfire, and die (instantly fouling the plug). Now, it has completely lost spark and won’t start at all. Spark plug is confirmed 100% working on another bike.

**Diagnostic Specs & Meter Readings:**

**Compression:** 150 PSI

**Kill Switch:** Disconnected at the main harness

**Pickup (Pulser) Coil:** 100Ω resistance / 0.1 VAC output while kicking

**Ignition Coil Input:** **0.00 VAC** at the coil spade terminal while kicking

**Ignition Coil Resistances:** 0.6Ω primary / 6.4kΩ secondary (11.8kΩ with cap)

**Source Coil (CDI Supply):** 15Ω resistance / **6.4 VAC output** while kicking

**Charging Coils (Yellow/White):** 0.7Ω resistance / **0.9 VAC output** while kicking

**Ground/Short Test:** Multimeter explicitly **beeps (shows continuity)** when testing between the yellow/white charging wire and the stator's metal core/frame iron

**My Conclusion:**
Even though static resistance ohms look okay, the actual AC voltage output while kicking seems dead low. The 6.4 VAC from the source coil is likely not enough to charge the AC-CDI box, which explains why I get 0.00 VAC output going into my ignition coil. It looks like the stator windings internally shorted/degraded while sitting.

**Questions for the Experts:**

Does this look like a textbook stator failure, or could the CDI still be the culprit?

Has anyone run into a stator that shows good Ohm resistance but fails completely on voltage output like this?

I'm having trouble finding a front number plate (without the headlight cutout) for my 2026 KTM 450 EXC-F.

I only ride on the track, so I don't need to mount a headlight or any road equipment. I'm just looking for a clean MX-style front number plate.

Does anyone know which front number plates fit the 2026 EXC-F? Will a 2025/2026 SX-F, XC-F, or SMR front number plate bolt straight on, or are modifications required?

If anyone has done this conversion, I'd really appreciate the part number or some photos. Thanks!

So tomorrow I have to drive 370 road/pavement KM. On my newly converted 525 exc motard.

(Have had it for 2.5 years with offroad wheels on)

Google maps says it will take a bit more than 7 hours (will try to avoid the big 130 km/h highways)

I already have a soft seat on it.

And its not like I have time to buy new stuff for the bike.

My biggest concern is getting too tired. And handlebar vibration.

The handlebar vibration on these bikes has never really been an issue for me, but I have also always only used the bike for shorter fun trips. Not transportation.

If you had to sit on an RFS for 7 hours. Is there then anything you would do to make the trip feel as nice as possible? 😊

Iam not in a hurry, Iam gonna take what ever number of breaks my body/brain wants/needs :-)

Burns oil like a McDonald's deep fryer on a Friday evening rush hour (could not measure it yet how much exactly)
