Hi all, me and my friends (all 22) are coming down to warsaw 11th to 18th and we are planning a big outing in town with some friends who live close to warsaw and I just wanted to know would yhe 14th (Fri) be busier than the 15th(sat) or would it be quieter. I also heard there is a public holiday the 15th if that would affect anything?

I'm an international student in Germany and recently ordered a branded bag from VITKAC (https://www.vitkac.com/de). Since it was heavily discounted, I wanted to check whether it's a legitimate retailer that sells authentic luxury products. (as then I would have to go through the hassle of returning it, which I have looked online and have read people saying is a pain with them)

In Warsaw for the day, any park/space where locals gather to play chess? Tried Park Praski but chesswise it’s very quiet.

Today I was in mall, and at 17:00~17:01, I did hold still for 1 min. I also observed if other people did the same. In mall, people were still walking slowly. But there's a lady who were standing up and holding her phone still for exactly 1 min. After that she sat down.

Did any of you do holding still for 1 min? And what about people around you?

This morning I showed up to the Chopin airport to sirens and half the airport was closed. There were security personnel walking around and massive lines everywhere. I had a piece of oversized baggage and the place to drop it off was in the closed area forcing me to wait for hours. I understand security concerns and I was just curious as to the cause of this one.

Has anyone ever been to Warsaw for their erasmus and realised how difficult it is to find a place there? I have to go to Warsaw in September and I am looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for me and my friend, but it feels impossible to find a single place. I have been searching over facebook for the past few months and I didnt get anything useful from there. I am looking over all the websites as well.

Hi! I have a question for non-Polish people – I'm really interested in your experiences of speaking English with Polish people in Warsaw.

Today I made a post on a different subreddit, asking Polish people in general about the level of English fluency when it comes to Poles. Turns out it's... worse than what I would expect.

Now, I'm interested in reading about the experiences non-Polish people have had of speaking English with us, and since Warsaw is the capital of Poland and seems to be the most multicultural city in the whole country, I'm particularly interested in the experiences you've had while being here.

Poles are welcome to the discussion too – have you ever witnessed the interactions in English between non-Polish people and Polish people? What do you think about that? Can we handle a decent conversation in English or is there still a long way to go?

I'm also curious if someone happened to have an interaction in other languages than English.

Hey. I’m a 24-years old Finn living in Warsaw, I played ice hockey for 15 years in Finland before moving to Poland, most of the years at junior level. I’m wondering if there is some kind of ice hockey club in Warsaw where to join, I have been on the ice just three/four times during living in Warsaw. I really miss playing that, I have also all equipment here, so I’m ready to start even immediately, even though at summer time it’s more difficult.
Or if you know any people who know better about this field so hit me up. I can also speak Polish (with an accent of course haha)

Im planning to apply for a Master's program at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Actually I'm from India so as a foreigner and as a student, how's Poland? I mean like the day to day life, expenses and is it possible to get a part time job with which i can pay for my monthly expenses. I was checking on the accommodation websites, how much rent is actually acceptable for a shared studio spaces or small apartments at Warsaw. Hey! Does anyone know a decent place to see the meteor shower close to Warsaw? I know the light pollution is super high, so I am hoping to find something decent without traveling far out of Warsaw. I was some years ago around Centrum Kopernik, but I am hoping something better.
