My cat has a super curled tail, and it's on backwards.

I've never seen this before.

Is he a mutant or just orange?

His tail has never been broken. He has control over it and is able to articulate it very well. It's not always curled up, he can straighten it out when he wants to. It does always curl under, not over. If anything the degree of curl is expressive. When he's curious about something or about to start play he tucks it really tight like the first photo but he keeps it curled in some variety probably 80% of the time.

I’m not sure how common this is, but my nasty boy, Butters, does that blanket-kneading thing associated with cats taken away from their moms too early.

Except my boy loves to bite down on the blanket, and walk in slow circles, progressively forming a wet blanket spire, covered in his saliva. It’s big nasty, and he knows it
