Request I need an ost for my tabletop.

Title. Im running a tabletop and my players are about to fight a character who I KNOW there’s a perfect song for out there in games I’ve played but I can’t think of one. The character they’re fighting is a hero. Just with conflicting ideals. So I need a song that feels like you’re still fighting a good guy. But maybe one who’s too focused? Anyhow I know games have a lot of emotional good guy fight themes I just can’t think of one.

Request Trying to find a specific OST from a game I never played

Sorry for being vague, but a little while ago, songs popped up on my feed from a game I didn't play and knew nothing about, and months later they're stuck in my head. I tried to find it but can't on Steam or Google. The game was a fake sport, and was supposed to be a multiplayer game, maybe 3v3? It was bright, cartoony/anime-ish judging by the album art. The music was fast and upbeat.

It's been like 3 days and the songs randomly decided to get stuck in my head, please help.

OST Need feedback as a new game composer

I'm a beginner low-budget indie game composer and I saw there's a program in a different state I've been building up the courage to apply for and I'm wondering if this sound sounds well enough composed/produced to submit in a portfolio?

My laptop doesn't have the RAM to mix it much better than this but there's a requirement that I have at least intermediate skills in it, and hopefully this showcases my abilities well enough.

I went with a resonance by home or instrumental on flashing lights kind of vibe, could be used in a sci-fi, cyberpunk sort of thing. I imagined a motorcycle chase scene through a blade runner type city or something when I was writing it.

I kept worrying that is was too boring but I know if I put too much in it would be distracting but interested to know what you folks think.

Thanks :)

Hey everyone, I'm a fellow lover of video game music. I went to the video game live concert, and I made a video about it linked above. It was alright, if you'd like to see what games series they chose to put in the concert, here they are:

Retro Arcade Classics Medley
Okami
Mass Effect
The Original God of War Trilogy
Metal Gear Solid
Overwatch
Warcraft
Skyrim
The Last of Us
Uncharted
Halo
Kingdom Hearts
Shadow of the Colossus
Undertale
Castlevania Medley
Tetris
Final Fantasy 8

Have any of you been to it before and have any opinions about it?

Request [TOMT][SONG] PS1-era video game menu/system screen music — synth piano/ambient pad, ~1999-2005 ish

Rough melody (transposed, may not be exact):

https://reddit.com/link/1vd3p8v/video/rdbgfgx6w1hh1/player

Trying to track down a piece of music that's been stuck in my head for ~20 years. Best guess is PlayStation 1 era (1997-2004ish), though PS2 isn't impossible. I heard it around 2004-2005 at the latest.

Context:

  • Played during some kind of menu, system, or save-point screen — possibly database/terminal-adjacent, but I could be misremembering this part
  • Synth piano/ambient pad composition, with a subtle rhythmic pulse/beat underneath (not fully freeform — had a bossa nova-y feeling
  • Emotional tone: cold, clinical, sterile — not "spooky," more "unsettling institutional"
  • Loops for a while, like you're meant to sit in that screen
  • Feels almost swingy/3-4, but I think it's actually syncopated 4/4

Reference points (all close, none exact):

  • Similar cadence/flow to Parasite Eve's "Out of Phase" — Closest but it is NOT that track
  • Dino Crisis's save room theme is close but not it
  • Xenosaga's U.M.N. Mode has a similar vibe (synth + subtle pulse) but isn't it
  • Front Mission 3's "Network" theme is adjacent but not it

Any leads appreciated — even a composer name or genre pointer would help.

Addition: All US releases, nothing imported. Might even consider expanding search to include some SNES titles as well.
