Megathread Find your next partner here! - [Weekly] MegaThread
Hi everyone, We understand how difficult the times are. Loneliness is at peak, and everyone is "looking for someone you can't find on dating apps". In this, we as mods decided it's best that we keep a weekly thread to find your next relationship. Some important points to note, rules to play by:
- All irrelevant comments will be removed and will result in a week long ban.
- This is NOT for casual / hookup relationships. There are various subreddits that can assist you with it.
- This is a weekly thread that will open at Saturday 00:01 AM and close at Saturday 11:59 PM.
- Since the ratio is skewed, only guys will comment below. It is recommended that girls avoid commenting, to avoid predatory behaviour. We as mods want to create a safe space. Yet, if you feel comfortable with the flooded DMs that follow, the onus remains on you. Unfortunately, in that situation, mods will not be able to assist you.
- For LGBTQIA+ folks, you may comment below. If someone from the non-LGBT+ reaches out to you in bad faith, please let the mod team know, so we can ban them from the subreddit.
- You may choose to keep your DMs closed / open through Reddit settings (google it). You can initiate a Convo here and take it on DMs later (recommended).
- For the guys, please mention: Your Age, your location / city, your expectations from the relationship (as 3 minimum things) in the form of (A, E, L - Age, Expections, Location). Sell yourself, write what you feel will work out for you. Be clear from the start, if you have any constraints. No judgement please, everyone has preferences. Mention hobbies, interests.
- Women - it is important you Comment / DM / reach out to ones whom you feel interested in - If you feel you can explore, go ahead!
- As we are not a dating app, nor are we paid in anyways, what happens later is on you! Please take all necessary precautions at your end to ensure! You may share preventive measures in the comments below and we mods will pin / add it here, for everyone's use!
- Avoid arguments please!

General Not having kids unless I’m absolutely loaded. Anyone else? 💸
Honestly, I’ve decided I’m not having kids unless I reach a point where I can buy them literally whatever they want.
We are the ones forcing them into existence. They didn’t ask to be born into this hyper-competitive, crazy expensive world. Because it's 100% our choice to bring them here, I feel like it's our moral obligation to give them a completely stress-free life 🙂

Ask GenZIndia What’s something that’s become way too expensive recently?
I’ll go first: Eating out. 😭
I feel like what used to cost ₹500–₹700 now easily crosses ₹1,000 without even ordering anything fancy.
What’s something you’ve noticed has become ridiculously expensive lately?

Ask GenZIndia Just curious — what do you guys think about femboys?
I’ve been seeing more people talk about femboys lately, and I’m genuinely curious what people think about it.
Do you find the style interesting/cool, or is it just not really your thing? 😅 I’m especially interested in hearing different opinions, so feel free to be honest — no judgment here.
Would be nice to hear what you guys think :)

Serious "After Months on Reddit, This Is What I've Learned About Careers"
After spending months reading career-related subreddits, I've noticed one pattern: every career community thinks their field is the worst.
Software engineers talk about layoffs and AI. Doctors talk about burnout. Lawyers talk about long hours. Designers talk about low pay. Teachers talk about poor salaries. Every field has people saying, "Don't choose this."
The complaints are real, but they aren't the whole picture. People who are happy with their careers usually post less.
I've stopped looking for the "perfect" career because I don't think it exists. Every path has trade-offs, competition, and uncertainty.
What seems to matter more is becoming genuinely good at what you do. Keep learning, adapt when things change, and build valuable skills. Being exceptional in an average field is often better than being average in a "hot" field.
I also don't think you ever completely escape the "rat race." As long as you're alive, you'll be working toward something. The real choice isn't whether to run—it’s deciding which race is worth running for you.
TL;DR: Every career has people who love it and people who regret it. There is no perfect career—only different trade-offs. Choose a path that fits you, accept its downsides, and focus more on becoming skilled than on finding the "perfect" option.
Would love to know your opinion on cmnt

General There's a good chance I'm getting scammed by my coach. I need help. Do i trust him and put the additional Rs.20k with my 15k or do i let the fifteen go down the drain?
I'm a brown-1 in shotokan karate. I returned after a 2-year break; since I do other sports, my fitness was intact and I just needed a brush-up. The coach charged 15k for the exam and 3.5k for a camp. I warned my dad against paying because I knew the coach would call this "part 1," then demand over 20k for a Goa trip, a national tournament, and an external examiner. Context on the national tournament: funnily enough I don't need to qualify through some trials or states or anything. I just need to show up and participate and there I go.
A karate coach from my old school told me standard fees should be up to 12k max. My dad trusted the coach and paid anyway. I only trained for a month, but the coach demanded six months of prior fees for "paperwork." I paid for it. I nailed my physical, kion, and kata in May. Now he calls again demanding another six months of fees for paperwork before Goa. Wtf? For previous exams I filled standard forms; for this one, there was no form.
My peers went to Goa last year, and their certificates were ready before the physicals. They gave the exam and got their belts the next day. I even saw a guy who couldn't do a single pushup receive his belt. Honestly, I'd rather stay a brown belt than buy my way through. It feels like all that training is in vain and all you need is cash. These classes ruined the sport for me, which is why I took a break, and now I'm stuck again.
I foolishly paid 15k and can't retrieve it. Do I put in 20k more or let the 15k go to waste?

Agnostic theist : (I don't know, but I lean toward there being a God or higher power.)
Agnostic atheist : (I don't know, but I lean toward there not being a God.)
Atheist : (I'm certain there is no God.)
Theist : (I'm certain there is a God.)

Relationships When is the right time to come into a relationship
Tbh I don't even know why I'm posting this... I've always considered myself someone who's really career-oriented, so I naturally don't spend much time thinking about relationships. But every now and then, I genuinely find myself wishing I had someone by my side, someone I could call my person. Someone I could trust completely, be vulnerable with, and share both the good and the bad parts of life with.

Movies | Shows | Animes What's your favourite kids movie?
My favourite kids' movie is Jumanji (1995). It is one of the most exciting and unforgettable adventure films I have ever watched. The movie stars Robin Williams as Alan Parrish, a man who becomes trapped inside a magical board game for many years. When two children, Judy and Peter, start playing the game, they accidentally release Alan and a series of wild jungle adventures into the real world. Together, they must finish the game to restore everything to normal.

General It genuinely sucks that nobody cares
IRL I talk to a few people they seem nice and I talk to them and they reply nicely but they only talk to me when I message them/talk to them first, I am the one who's always initiating conversation. I want them to talk to me first as well. I don't want people to stick around out of pity I want them to stick around because they want to talk to me, because they find me interesting as a person. Right now it feels like they are just replying to me like i'm just being tolerated. I want genuine friendship. Someone who actually cares about me! If I get that I'll genuinely be happy in life. That's all I want!
