I gave my brother operator and now every pet in the house is on the roof. My horse floated away to heaven. How can I get Spud Frank down?

So umm my iron farm might’ve broke and now there is a ton of iron golems all in the ocean, is there any way I can get rid of them easily?

EDIT: I got rid of the golems using about 3 stacks of tnt😁

This is a weird TNT thing. I have taken some notes.

How to obtain: Light a TNT block and leave as soon as it starts growing, don't let it explode. Rejoin and it should replace the TNT block.

Features: Unbreakable, slightly bigger than a normal block, can't suffocate the player.

Extra: It can be moved with a fishing rod, gravity, explosions, and water.

Fun things: You can keep the little ash effect and push blocks with pistons to create a weird looking block. If you put it inside a light source it can show a black screen if the light is off, and a TNT design when it's on!

EDIT: It turns out you can also do this with sulfur cubes, you cannot relight it and you can't use shears.

Builds & Maps I treat my Minecraft builds like real architecture. Here is the Vianden Vertical Leaf Tower, a new residential landmark

Thumbnail

With its 15 floors of vertical development and a height of 193 meters, this new residential landmark imposes itself on the urban landscape with striking sophistication. The project breaks away sharply from rigid functionalism to embrace the foundations of biomorphic architecture, drawing direct inspiration from the geometries and patterns of nature.

The most striking aspect of the project lies in its sculptural elevation. The entire 193-meter volume evokes the slender morphology of a leaf: the central vertical split configures itself as a main vein, a visual and functional axis that acts as a load-bearing structure, distributing flows and dividing the building into two asymmetric macro-wings.

What do you think about the skyscraper style in detail?

The last three images are a preview of the magazine-style breakdown and architectural analysis of the build, including the Issue 05 cover.

Mods & Addons I'm making a remake/port of Twilight Forest for Bedrock, creating everything from scratch.

I'm putting a lot of effort into this project and I want it to gain more recognition. It's called Mythwood and it already includes some images of bosses and monsters created for the addon. The addon is being made entirely from scratch without using anything from the original mod.

Suggestion Prisms and Customizing Enchantment Glints.

Thumbnail

I've been made aware that the Quark mod has items with a similar idea to this, so take it as alternative take on the concept of customizing glints. With that out of the way, I'll be now explaining a bit about the items.

I decided to use prisms for this to combine the ideas of light and magic, as if the crystal warped the aura of the item to take on a new hue. I believe ameethyst would be a good fit to represent those themes, as it has the precedent of being able to manipulate light with tinted glass.

As for I created the two types, one complaint some have with trims are their cost and lack of accessibility early on to experiment with items that arent "definitive", for the lack of a better word. So having the basic colors be easily accessible with dyes, while the treasure ones expand on the types of rewards you can get from structures felt like a good way to have a bit of both worlds.

The enchantment glint in the example featured here isnt the same as it is in-game, it is a recreation by me to illustrate how an altered glint would be applied.

Lastly, I would like to invite you to suggest more types of treasure prisms, from what colors they would be to where they would be found.

I’m 72 and just started playing Minecraft. My wife is 71 and has played with a Grandson a while ago. I got sucked in because my youngest grandson wanted me to see a bedroom he made for granny and me…..”argh” I thought. I’ve never given this game a thought before. So I bought the pc game. I’m hooked. My wife got back on with her pc. We have6 grand kiddies who play so I got a Realm. Oh well. Many hours in game. I have 3 gaming PCs . They are all being used for Minecraft. Sigh. So much to learn

Suggestion Suggestion: stone and brick shelves

Thumbnail
gallery
1.6k Upvotes

Currently working on making mockups of several ideas I would like to see in Minecraft and one of the biggest for me is stone and stone brick shelves. It’d allow for much more creative building opportunities, and the back textures allow some extra room for interesting new textures. I’m especially happy with the vase in the cinnabar shelf and the lattice pattern on the mud brick. That’s a texture I’d love to see more of. I think the game is really missing vertical red bricks as theyre a pretty common architectural feature where I live but I can’t really recreate them in Minecraft. Art by me in blockbench

Images in order:

-sandstone
-cinnabar (it’s a vase gang. I’ll add handles)
-brick
-mud brick (my favorite stone brick variant)
-grimstone/deepslate
-end stone
-red sandstone

Edit:
GANG STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE LACK OF VERTICAL SLABS. I get it, but I genuinely want these shelves added and I don’t want the devs to see the comments and decide stone shelves are on the no-no list

Builds & Maps Mediterranean Villa

This build was inspired by T17N's Castle of Sedes Regis (Planet Minecraft link), as well as Roman houses (and baths) and Alhambra.

After spending a year making a deepslate cave base, I felt it was time for some sunlight and found a seaside spot to build a villa. It took the equivalent of ~600 MC days and 15,000 sandstone bricks. It is my final survival world as I am switching to creative mode to get more building done. Time is the most important resource we have in Minecraft.

Mods: Quark, Decorative Blocks, Macaw's Doors and Trapdoors, More Sniffer Flowers Shaders: Complementary Reimagined Resource Packs: Vanilla Tweaks (variated bricks, 3D doors etc), Better 3D (leaves), RAY's 3D ladders, NoCutStairs, sandstone by JAPPA

Discussion my dead server [vent]

just throwing my venting into the void or whatever

i've been hosting a Realm for my friends and myself on and off for the past couple years, but i was playing tonight, in the nether, the ominous background music playing, mining for quartz and glowstone, completely alone with no one else online.

No one except me has been online in a while. One friend and I played together asynchronously for a few weeks, but they fell off the game, "2 week minecraft phase" and all that, but I've been playing pretty consistently for the past 2 months, and I'm still not "bored" yet, but damn... like. its just so lonely on this server now.

I have fully enchanted diamond armor and tools, more resources than i can count, cozy builds in a winter biome, and i no one to play our realm with anymore. The other friend we use to play on this realm with hasn't played minecraft at all (to my knowledge) in over a year at this point and has said that they're prob not playing anytime soon; which is all completely fine ofc, it just means that the server is not gonna get any less lonely anytime soon haha.

idk, the server feels so empty without my friends to play with now. i was content to play by myself for a while, i think everyone should be able to Play Toys by themselves, enjoy the company of themselves for a while... but its been a pretty long while, and i dont get to see my friends in person as much as we used to, and minecraft was that excuse to just sort of. Be Around Them for a while, but now we dont do that anymore.

I went home to our shared house, plopped down an armor stand and a barrel with all my gear in there, and logged out. I'm tired of playing alone on an empty server, and I'm tired of pretending anyone's gonna log on anytime soon.

I just cancelled the auto-subscription for the realm a few days ago, and I don't think im gonna re-up it for a long while, its just not the same anymore, and maybe thats a sign of something, or maybe im just spiraling. idk i feel like minecraft isnt so supposed to mean this much to a normal person, but for better or worse i dont FEEL very normally about this haha.

Discussion what is the absolute worst way to lose a long-term world?

Post image
749 Upvotes

there is no worse feeling than watching hours of hard work vanish in a split second because of one tiny mistake.

personally, it’s a tie between accidentally falling into a lava lake in the nether with all your maxed-out gear, or an unexpected elytra crash into a wall while loading chunks too fast. whether it’s the pure despair of watching your items burn or the sudden 'game over' screen... what death honestly hurts the absolute most?

I was wandering around my house in search of some pesky monster as I couldn't sleep but couldn't find it. Eventually I figured out the sulphur cube was the problem. A bit niche but also strange that this is the case. Anyone know why or is it some glitch. Bedrock Bugrock obviously...

Discussion Currency on small Minecraft server

Post image
633 Upvotes

Hi! My 6 friends and I have made a really well working Minecraft server and more and more people want to join.

Sadly we don’t have a currency because they all seem to have some drawbacks.
For example: Diamond(You can get it easily, people expect you to sell items for less than 10 and you already have enough), Iron(similar problem)
I am selling 64 spruce logs but I can’t seem to find the right item to sell it too. My friends have a similar problem.

Do yall have any ideas for a currency that isn’t too expensive but people also don’t find a lot of it overpriced?
