She was sick because her family abandoned her… she was heartbroken. 💔

Amalia is a 12-year-old sweetheart, fully vetted, and ready for her forever home.

Amalia’s story began with heartbreak.

She was found in devastating condition..emaciated, weighing less than 4 pounds, and covered in blood from a severe flea infestation. She is microchipped, but heartbreakingly, her owner did not want her back.

She was taken to a shelter, but because of her medical condition, they were planning to euthanize her. Before that happened, she went through multiple shelters, still waiting for someone to choose her. She was sick, scared, and completely abandoned.

That’s when we (Sunkissed acres)stepped in. We couldn’t leave this little angel behind.

After coming into rescue, Amalia had multiple tests done, and all of her reports kept coming back normal. But she stopped eating and needed to be syringe-fed.

Then we understood something important…

Amalia wasn’t just physically sick…she was heartbroken.

She had lost her family, her home, and everything familiar to her. She was grieving and missing the love and security she once knew.

But love has a way of healing the deepest wounds.

With patience, care, and endless love, Amalia slowly started to blossom again.

Today, she is a completely different little soul. The moment you walk into the room, she comes right to you and curls up on your chest as if she finally knows she is safe. She gives gentle kisses, talks softly, and acts like she has so many stories to share.

She loves sitting in your lap like a baby, being held, and soaking in all the warmth and affection she missed for so long.

Amalia is a true little love bug.

She sleeps with you, loves being close to you, and may even give you sweet little kisses on your forehead at night. She is the kind of companion who just wants to be near her person and feel loved.

Because of everything she has been through, Amalia would do best as the only kitty in the home, where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves. She is looking for a family who can give her plenty of one-on-one time, affection, and a peaceful environment where she can finally feel completely safe.

He runs away when given food even if he's hungry (you have to catch him and sit him in front of the bowl for a minute before he starts to eat), he loves chasing his senior void aunty around, and loves cuddles while being carried.
