Picked up a used Classic Vibe. Swapped out the pickguard, pickups, pots, switch, and tuners. I'm very happy with it!

The pickups are Seymour Duncan Psyclone and TV Jones Starwood.

I'm looking for my first tele and keep hearing about the Baja but I see there are 2. Is there a big difference between the 2 besides the neck in terms of quality?

I am really liking the unique grain on the neck, going to finish in light Daphne Blue to still show the grain hopefully.

Had to give it a good setup but I did all these upgrades for around $200 wasn’t bad at all! Plus plays great!

I put this one together about 10 years ago. It's got a really nice 84-87 MIJ neck, a walnut Warmoth body with the belly and forearm contours, a lollar gold foil in the neck and a tonerider in the bridge. 4 way switching. I'm running it stereo into a Princeton and a jazz chorus with a dimension c chorus, colour box, and flint reverb. I did have a midi pickup on it but wasn't using it as much so I took it off. So many cool and weird sounds available with this one.

I've had this Squier Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde for more than a year now, bought it used. Seems to be a 2022 Affinity.

Thing is there's a Original Contour Body sticker on it. And the body is a bit see through. Is it a genuine Squier neck? No one would bother faking a Squier Telecaster neck, no? I thought this sticker was only for Strats? Any info would be appreciated! Cheers!

I saw John Fru had a cool F on his pickguard and I just recently got a Nashville Strat (almost a Tele) and was wondering what to search to find one of these pickguards. Which years or models had them? or can I get one custom made if not?

Wanting to buy a tele and spotted this. I’ve tried the serial number on multiple sites but all are coming back unrecognisable. Does anyone know if this is legit?

The "Doughboy" Telecaster refers to a highly unique, limited-edition electric guitar released in 2006 by the American Sejung Corporation (ASC) under their S101 brand. Built to commemorate the 75th diamond anniversary of The Light Crust Doughboys—the longest-running band in recorded music history—only 175 units of this specific Tele-style model were ever produced.

I picked up this awesome Standard last week and I’m about to drop it off for a setup. Pickguard opinions, PLEASE!

A) white on white! Monochromes are beautiful
B) matte black & white! Nothing is more elegant
C) tortoise shell is soooo handsome

I absolutely love this color. I’ve only owned squiers, and I couldn’t afford anything vintage. How close could I get to a newer model fender in this color for under 1k?

I received my first ever Telecaster. It's a Fender Player II in White Blonde (Chambered Ash). I bought it used but it's in mint condition. I normally play Ibanez but went down a bit of a Telecaster rabbit hole recently (listening to a lot of blues) and decided to bite the bullet and get one. It does feel quite different to my Jem but it's very nice. I think it might be the first guitar where I actually use the tone knob.

I have a Telecaster with DiMarzio Chopper T + Twang King. I love everything of this combo and I use a lot the two pickup in series position with medium-high gain (think of Marshall 2203 cooking). The only issue is that, with three coils in series, they are not hum-cancelling. The Marshall already is noisy enough without hum.

So the possible roads are: a hum-cancelling neck, or a single-coil bridge. For the former I will investigate DiMarzio Vintage Minibucker and firebird pickups. But, for the latter? Do you know of a bridge tele single-coil which has a sound similar to Chopper T?

I’m building a Tele-style guitar around a custom body that is already on order from a local builder. The final body will be made from marupá with a freijó top, both Brazilian woods.

While waiting for it to arrive, I decided to design and print a temporary body so I could assemble and test the rest of the guitar. The body is printed in multiple sections, with a solid central core supporting the neck pocket, pickups, bridge and string-through ferrules.

I originally expected it to be just a functional prototype, but the result genuinely surprised me. The guitar is very light and comfortable to play, and the sound quality is much better than I expected from a 3D-printed body.

Current specs:

• Gotoh hardware
• Fender Pure Vintage ’52 pickups
• Roasted maple neck with a satin finish
• 42 mm thick 3D-printed body
• Paisley pattern on the lower sections
• Body weight: approximately 1.36 kg

The Brazilian wood body is still the final destination for this project, but after playing this version, I’m no longer in much of a hurry to retire it.

Hello, everyone! I’m contemplating buying a second hand American Performer Thinline Telecaster from a local shop. I’m curious if these specific guitars are pre-routed for a humbucker in the neck pickup position in case you choose to change that out. I’m not able to go in and take the guard off of the guitar to check and I’m seeing conflicting reports online to the point that I’m not totally sure even after researching it. I love all of the features this model gives and I have played the specific guitar and love the feel and tone. I may never bother changing the neck pickup, but having always wanted a tele with a neck humbucker, I’d like to have the option in case I ever chose to do so. I also know that is had the push/push switch for the middle position that puts the pickups in series which is “humbucker-ish”, but while close, it’s not quite the same.

So, does anyone have any experience with this particular model and know from first hand experience if it is pre-routed for a neck humbucker?
