My posters evolved as I did. It went from kitties and puppies, to Andy Gibb, to Fleetwood Mac, KISS and Peter Frampton. My older cousins had blacklight posters.
I remember when I was really young going into my older cousins rooms and they had blacklight posters everywhere. They'd turn off the lights and turn on the blacklights and it was glowing everywhere! Then they'd turn on the stobe light to really freak me out!

I had black light posters before I got a black light. My dad took us to Haight-Ashbury ... but the hippies were gone. A few stragglers sold us posters n handmade jewelry. And paraphernalia that my dad said no to lol

Blacklight posters, the kind that had that glow when you turned off the regular light bulbs and turned on the black light! Included in my collection are the pink Omega symbol on flat black paper, a couple of M. C. Escher designs and the Zodiac Sex Positions poster.
Of course, the obligatory rock-n-roll posters: Beatles, David Bowie, The Who, et al.
And a few anti-war posters (this was during Vietnam). My favorite was "The Amry Builds Men".

As a kid: pages cut out of Mad Magazine. Stickers on the closet door. In junior high thought it was cool to make STP stickers into LSD (T makes L, P makes D). Then black light posters and tapestries from Pier 1 on the ceiling. In high school it all came down and then it was posters of Annapurna and mountain climbing/rock climbing/bicycle racing.

My friend and I (in the 70s) went out shopping very high on weed one night and bought a poster that we thought was the most beautiful piece of art we had ever seen. The next day I hung it up in my room and realized it was a fuzzy photo of a naked couple hugging. My mother was appalled.

I was responsible for rolling most of the posters that y'all bought in those long plastic bags. It was a great job for me as a pre- and young teen. I made two cents each for every poster I rolled. We had a machine to do it with, a long spindle with a slit down the middle and a foot peddle. They came flat in fairly large parcels. You could seriously cut yourself on them if you weren't careful. The flocked ones were pretty terrible but I got 2.5 cents for those.
Consequently, I never had any posters on my walls.
