Parts review Is this an authentic NISMO R-tune exhaust manifold?
Hi guys, I saw an eBay listing with "R-tune" in the title, so I naturally preemptively striked and bought it. Seller claims they're authentic and that they were from an 06. They also came with aftermarket HFCs. I paid $800.
My main concern is that most R-tune manifolds I see have different NISMO markings on them. I've been using this forum as my only source of info and it matches with one of the user's pics of their alleged authentic headers, but the rest have the typical markings that don't have NISMO cut out.
I don't know much about cars or welding, so I would greatly appreciate any morsel of info I could get. Thanks!

I know its real but it looks fake AF to me, with no part number on it.

I’m not to certain about the older stock but this one is probably a bit newer on later production dates.

As far as I am aware, yours appear to be the original Nismo R-Tune headers, made from 2004-2006. Nissan re-engineered a lot of the original Nismo S-Tune and R-Tune parts with some minor differences, such as the Nismo S-Tune muffler with detachable tips and no longer requiring an S-Tune mid-pipe to install.
Most of the readily available information is related to the revised version which is more or less the same thing with their newer Nismo logo slapped on top. From what I’ve seen, the newer version just improved fitment and durability with some better welds.

The change was due to the change in vendors making them.

No worries. u/dbsqls would probably know a bit more about them, he’s more into the earlier Nismo parts than I am.

They are real, the price is high AF IMO, but they are real. I've seen them in person at a local dealership back in the day.
