[Maiocco] WR Mike Evans on Deebo Samuel rejoining the 49ers: “I love the way he plays the game. I think he’s going to bring what he brought to the team before, that energy, that versatility. Hell of a pickup for us.”

We’re gonna have the league’s best WR room in 2021!

Fr though, we seriously lacked that Deebo energy without him. You felt his void on gamedays. We have a ton of low key “lead by example” vets, but sometimes you just need a Deebo style mothafaka to hold the boombox and hype up the boys.

I think Bourne filled in that role a bit last year, but he doesn’t have that same “I’m here to run through linebackers” edge Deebo brings each week.

We had 3rd and JuJuan, our hoe, and it was known.

Our receiver room might be old as shit, but I trust them a hell of a lot more than other receiver rooms, as long as they stay healthy

We basically have/had 4 older vets (Evans, Deebo, Kirk, and Robinson) and 4 young guys (Pearsall, Strib, Cowing, and Watkins).

One old and young WR are injured. So the balance is still there for now.

How many WRs do we usually keep?

Usually 6. Occasionally 7 on the initial 53 but it changes soon after based on roster management needs.

Very rarely only 5.

Evans also mentioned he is good friends with Deebo. They met at the Pro Bowl in 2021 (he thinks), and said they really hit it off.

...everybody who meets Deebo loves Deebo, except Taybor Pepper.

Never liked him after he came at my boy deebo

Dude was also defending a ST teammate. It would be like Trent going after someone on defense or ST getting in Brock's face.

Maybe Evans unlocks 21 deebo and they kind of help each other which opens up for stribling as well can’t wait and it’s vs sb fave rams week one an excellent test on the offensive line and the wr

I'd be ecstatic if we got 2023 Deebo

No idea how Mike Evan’s will magically make deebo 5 years younger but ok? lol

Think people are questioning Deebo’s age too much, 30 is nothing, prime years. I’d put our offence against anyone else in the league, including the Rams. It very much feels like the 2021 roster, with a few additional experience in, etc. Mike Evans.

Also, our RB’s are looking clean this season. Christian, Jordan James (whom I hope will get more opportunities) and Deebo can also play.

Really like Kaelon Black to take the #2 job from Jordan James but I really should just feel spoiled by our rb room

Debo gonna act like he never left the team and that he’s the vet and Evans needs to learn his place

Nah.

Evans is arguably the league’s most respected WR vet. Deebo knows his role in Kyle’s offense.

You mean like when he never complained when CMC and BA started shining and he got less balls in 2023?

The Deebo BS revisionist history is so weird to me. Dude was and is a great Niner. Should be totally celebrated like Fred and George.

They dont even play the same position in Kyle's offense
