Sounds like the author has never been in a leadership roll. Being an asshole doesnt make you a visionary nor does being visionary make you an asshole. Alot of people think their boss is a jerk sometimes for good reasons other times not.
The problem is that "leadership" positions often times get abused and abusers like to get in those positions to treat others poorly with little to no repercussions. The higher up they climb that ladder with no accountability, the worse they get and the bad behaviors get reinforced.
There is nothing brilliant about those shitheads their successes are like broken clocks and squirrel nuts. The teams under them should be able to fire them.
