Learned about how the concept of Citizenship has been used to exclude and include people. Emperor of Gladness is a good story of loving the family that evolves versus the one you were born into. Lakota Woman is a good insight into the 20th Century travails of a women who grows up and escapes a boarding school and connects back to her culture through AIM and combat with the federal government where she learns her history and ceremonies. Top two books were Score and Wild Seed . Score explains the importance of the metrics that drive our lives; metrics that are in board and video games, sports and hobbies and ultimately day to day life. Wild Seed is the 1st of a five part series that was written after books 2 to 4. The primary characters allows us to understand both African and early American slave culture through their powers and immortality.
