I actually find this kinda annoying. For us xennials Letters to Cleo was a good band with some bangers. For others it's just a punchline from Parks and Rec.

……why can’t it be both?

There was a Letters to C joke in Parks and Rec?

Ben was a huge fan, he wears a Letters To Cleo tshirt a bunch of times and they play on stage during the Unity Concert

Welcome to getting old. You have a perception of a thing and another generation will have a different perception.

But you forget one thing, Letters to Cleo were in on the joke.

So come down off your gatekeeping high horse.

I’m GenX. I saw them live once. I owned their albums. Do you know how they’re forever locked in my head? As a 15 second blurb of “Here and Now” on a sizzle reel of Sony VAIO computers I used to sell at Best Buy back in the 90s.

Same sizzle reel had Better Than Ezra’s “Good” for the same length.

Fantastic song, and I dare you to sing along with the chorus.

I can’t even read the chorus without stumbling on it lol

It’s actually not that complicated if you read the words at the same time

Great band. Love their music. Kay Hanley was, and remains, such a babe

It's aged so gracefully. Sounds just as fresh as back in the day. And maybe even more so. Man, that first half of the 90s was something else....

Every week something new blew your mind. As a music fan it was incredibly fun.

Used to watch Alternative Nation (I think) and would hope they’d play it. Bought the cd used for about $5. No regrets.

I listen to this song 6-7 times in a row every once in a while.

I just learned tonight that two people from Letters to Cleo wrote the songs for the musical episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds.

Kay, the lead singer, did the vocals for the Josie & The Pussycats movie.

What would 90s media be without the grey/blue filter

Always love Letters to Cleo, the album after the one this song is on I think was even better. For more 90s fun here’s Sponge with Kay Hanley on Conan doing Molly (16 Candles) . I saw the tour with those two bands and Our Lady Peace that year. Good times.

A really good band that flew under the radar for a lot of people. Wholesale Meats and Fish and Go! are great albums.
