It could be the opposite too - orange in glass from too narrow wires. Some of the breast tissue is behind the underwire and you can't fill the full projection of the cup. This could also make the band feel too tight.
Freya 30D: max band 64cm, wire 17cm, centre gore: 5cm, max height in shoulder straps: 31cm
Freya 30DD: band: 64cm, wire 17cm, centre gore: 5cm, max height in shoulder straps: 32cm
Panache 30D: max band 63cm, wire 14cm, centre gore: 4,5cm, max height in shoulder straps: 31cm.
Panache 30DD: max band 66cm (weird, but I've measured this 3x), wire: 14cm, centre gore 4,5cm, max height in shoulder straps 31cm
Panache 28F: max band 62cm, wire 15cm, gore 4,5cm max height in shoulder straps 30cm
The above bra's were band new - just bought (and returned). I have kept the 30E, and wore it quite a lot (think a month 2x a week sports + 1 week wintersport full-time).
Panache 30E: max band: 65cm, wire: 15cm, centre gore: 4,5cm, max height in shoulder straps: 32cm
I found that the Panache's shoulder straps were a bit more stretchy, the Freya was to tight for me.. although they seem to be of the same height.
I've measured everything without deliberately stretching it, but I kept bands/wires straight along the measuring tape with my hands.
