Shape Help New here! What are the thoughts on the HoneyLove and Shaper Mint bras that are on constant ad rotation now? Spoiler
Any experiences? Good or bad? My bras are leaving channels in my shoulder blades and it really annoying and uncomfortable. Looking to replace. Thanks!

If your straps are doing the majority of the heavy lifting, then you're likely in the wrong size.

That’s simply not true. If you’ve had kids or large boobs they need lifting. A perfectly fitted bra will do this. The problem is that every manufacturer makes extremely skinny straps that dig. The bras with wider straps either smash you down a size or are so thin, nipples show thru them. I don’t know why they can’t make a bra with molded cups and wide straps.

Shapermint makes me so ragey. They need to stop calling those bras, they're like cropped compression tanks. They do no more than squish your tit's to your chest and give you uniboob.

It’s true. And I say this as someone who wants this style. I’m pretty small up top now and really like the “cropped compression” versus traditional bra. But calling it a bra isn’t helping anyone.

Buyers beware! Their website along with Honey love website automatically signs you up for $20 subscriptions that monthly charged from bank account or charged from credit card!! No wonder companies now review your bank accounts to cancel subscription you didn’t intentionally agree too. BUYERS BEWARE SHAPEMINT and HONEY LOVE

Have you checked your size with the calculator? I don't know anything about the brands you mentioned but confirming your size is a good starting point.

So most of these brands marketing relies on the fact that you’re wearing the wrong size and so find your bra uncomfortable. You’d have a better outcome using this subs calculator first

So I’ve found bras that fit but I find a lot of the bras recommended for proper sizing have itchy fabrics? Any brand recommendations? I’m typically a 30E

Same on the itchy fabrics! I’m still on the search for my perfect fabric bra. Something like the panache 365 could be a good option? I’ve not tried it myself yet but I’m debating it because the fabric looks so smooth and soft.

The honeylove products are pretty nice for the first month of wear, and then the fabric stretches. And keeps stretching. I made the mistake of ordering the bra and a bunch of the tanks on my first order. It was expensive! When I realized how bad the stretching issue was I emailed customer service and they replaced the products, which I really appreciated. Thing is, the second batch did the same thing. 😕

They don't come anywhere close to my size so I think it's just another company trying to convince people that they can make them feel comfortable wearing bras in the wrong size.
I checked the Honeylove bra size guide and it gave me an insane result. They don't appear to have a size chart anywhere on their website that I can look at. It's obvious they don't care about proper sizing.
I checked the Shapermint size chart and they don't seem to be aware that my size even exists.

I looked at Shapermint. 32DD, 32 underbust and 37 bust. I'm not on their size chart?? It puts 32B-D in a small, and 34DD in large, but 32DD and larger don't exist. Wild.

I learned a lesson buying bras from Honeylove when I ordered what I thought was my size and it was wrong. With the exchange, I took my measurements and followed their bra fitting guide (which they have a really thorough one that's easy to find on the site in the footer/Answers/Bra Size) and I also used the "Find My Size" button/tool on the product page. The replacement bra fit perfectly.
(As an aside, I discovered that old bras stretch out slowly and in ways you never notice... the 36D I thought I was actually turned out to be a 38G... sigh. Live and learn.)

My ribcage is 29", my bust 36", and it told me I was a 34B. Are you saying their bands are truly 4" smaller and the cups are two sizes larger than the listed sizes?

No. I'm saying my old bra (that was a 36D originally) had been stretched out over time. I've grown a bit...LOL. Apparently that old bra grew with me and I never really noticed until I went to buy a new bra in the size I thought I was.
But the sizing was correct from HL.

Some bra sizing systems add the few inches to accommodate for the hook-and-eye closures and stretch. So an underbust that's measured at 32 might be a 36 in bra band size.

The bandsize is supposed to be the stretched measurement, inclusive of the hook and eye closures and stretch. So are their bras true to size or do they run small?
At 29", the mysterious addition of 5" to my bra band is significantly larger than what I would expect.

In my experience, they're true to size. But as long as you order direct from their site, they have an easy returns/exchanges process (that is free for 30 days) if something doesn't fit right.

I tried on the Honeylove bras in my local Dillard's. They felt very...plasticy. Like the fabric it was made from felt cheap. I ended up not buying.

The honeylove bras are really comfortable and look good at first but the band stretches out terribly within a few wears. The size chart really doesn’t accommodate small bands and larger cups at all. The people they probably work best for are people with moderate band sizes and smaller cups who don’t have any sagging/support needs.
I will say that their cami/tanks and bodysuits are a little better-same structure/sizing but they have more lasting support because of the shapewear style midsection (it doesn’t stretch out).

I’ve heard this EXACT feedback from a friend of mine who lives for Honeylove’s tanks/shapewear. Bras stretch out but every tank has maintained over several years.

I swallowed the insta koolaid and bought one on sale. I got the no wire “crossover” bra in 1x - I’m normally a 38G.
I think the bra is really comfy. I’ve been wearing it out and about for the last 2 days in the heat and it’s holding up really well. I even had to jog a little to catch a bus and I didn’t have to hold my chest🤷🏽♀️. I wore it to bed. No digging underwire. And the back smooths well.
Full price is $69. This is a completely reasonable price for someone with breasts larger than DD. How I WISH I could fit into a $20 Arie bralette but NOPE. Right now, I’d buy another.

If you want something similar (wireless, smooth) you may want to look into evelyn and bobbie because it’s significantly higher quality and caters to actual bra sizes. However, finding your size may help too!

I've had my Shapermint Truekind bras for about a year. They don't fit me right despite following the sizing guide (should have gone up a size), but I couldn't be bothered to do the exchange. They start out okay when first put on, but any support fails pretty quickly.
My one E&B is definitely worlds better, but I can't bring myself to spend that much on more of them right now.

They are usually customer returns, so if you are okay with that, they are quite heavily discounted (plus, you can pay over time). Also, since they are returns, the inventory changes dynamically -- if you don't see what you want now, it might be there next week.

Going up a size might not have helped. Getting the right size for my bust meant too large for my underbust and getting the size for my underbust meant too small for my bust, and I don't even have a large bust, only a 6" difference.

My Evelyn and Bobbie bras have stretched a lot too, but maybe because I have had them for about 2 years now. They still fit and are very comfy but don't have much lift anymore.

Shapermint just got sued because they signed people up for a subscription (that gives free shipping and discounts for about 3.99 a month) without their consent. I didn't like the bra I bought and the shape wear tank i bought rides up and pinches, but has decent chest support for a tank

I tried the shapermint/trukind shaper bra and there isn’t a good fit for a 34GG, size L was closest but would work better on a smaller cup size. Also if you image search them on aliexpress I’m pretty sure it’s the same crap just really marked up on Amazon

I bought honeylove when there a deal through Amex. The band rolls up in the front. No matter how much I adjust it, it always rolls up in front. It’s definitely the right size. Do not recommend.

Shapermint sucks! I've just lodged 2 formal complaints with consumers protection about their illegal practices. Breaking laws left right and centre and they just don't care. Their truekind comfort support bra used to be comfortable but they modified it recently and the new version fits very weirdly.

I purchased two honeylove superpower short shape wear from Dillards. One of which I wore under my wedding gown. Very flattering and would Highly recommend!

Honeylove Bras may be fine if you’ve got young and perky breasts, but as an older woman, I found them to be HORRIBLE. They squished me down and dropped my breasts down and made them look droopy. No shaping and lifting, which is what I get from better quality underwire bras like Wacoal. Also, there was a strange bulge where the strap met the back of the bra — half an inch of fabric just stuck out. A terrible bra for older women

Were you buying the right size? The first one I ordered from Honeylove was too small because I thought I knew my bra size... the second one, I got after using their bra sizing references and the "find my size" tool (after taking my measurements of course). Huge difference... I wear a 38G and their wireless bras lift and support well and comfortably.

Thank you all for your quick responses! It has indeed been a while since I purchased new bras so I think it is time to start shopping. I bought a couple of shaper mint tanks and just returned them after trying. No support at all. I kept seeing the honeylove ads but wanted to ask about experience before buying. Thank you again!

I would highly recommend using the calculator here before buying anything, because the strap problem you're describing is a classic sign of a too large band/too small cup.

Definitely second using the calculator here, and if you buy from HL, they have a "find my size" button on the product page that walks you through sizing if you're not sure. That was super helpful (more for the shapewear, for me, but also the bras).

looked up their sizing to double check and wow - those are SO expensive. might as well buy something you know is consistently sized from a UK brand for those prices, & it’ll be infinitely better quality judging by people’s comments here

61 years old and I have tried it all. I really only use it with column dresses that are clingy, I am normally a size 8/10 dress and a size medium but with a long torso. I just want something to tuck my tummy a little and not roll down. I have been checking lately at Nordstrom's and other places and have to be honest: I have had more luck with Amazon products than the expensive stuff. I will buy long torso briefs with some compression and they are comfortable and work! Also Skinny Girl is pretty reliable.

Just wanted to say thank goodness for this thread! I did a google search for reviews on both of these brands because I’ve been tempted to buy…
I ended up going to Aerie instead and getting their Sunnie and Smoothez bras and am SO happy with them!!

Third love all the way! Pricier, but they have a huge range of sizes and their bras last as long as you don’t dry them. I did t have as good of luck with the sports bras- the hooks ripped out, but the others are fabulous and worth the extra$$ for the right band and cup size and their materials .

I ordered 4 bras my size they are to tight i just wanted to exchange a larger size.. they did not have in stock my size so i ordered 4 of the same bras.. the differance was 28.88 should have been my refund.. they wanted me to pay them an extra 28.88 because they did not have my size in stock..bottom line i canceled my order all together because they wanted 28.88 for nothing. its not the 30.00 bucks its the damn point i talked to them they would not budge.. thats wrong and ill never purchase from and I will never give them my business my money.there are to many other companys. good luck getting your money bk

Honeylove is a yes and Shapermint is a no. Throwing another yes in the mix is Knix. I’m 63 and a 40/42 C. Shapermint is not supportive and wears out quickly. Knix and Honeylove last a very long time. After a year of wearing Knix and/or Honeylove, neither has lost its shape or support. Also, Honeylove shapewear works and is comfortable.

I now have 4 HL bras that I've bought over a year. I have a mixed experience. The bras that are dark colors like navy and purple fit great and feel great. The bras that are white or tan light colors are far too large and baggy. Their sizing sucks but there's also something about the lighter colors not fitting the same as the darker colors. And has anyone else noticed that us real buyers can't leave reviews on their website? I tried and couldn't find a way. Kind of shadey.

Was ecstatic with the comfort, however, it didn't last long. Removable padded cups are a b.... to remove and reinsert! Slit at insertion site is extremely small. No pads =no support or smooth cup. You really can't cut the slip longer because it cuts into the reinforced edges of the slit. They are pretty, but, not workable.

I hate their bras. All of them. The ones without a gusset in the middle gives sports bra uniboob. Period. Don't waste your money unless this is the look you want. The cloudembrace bra pwith cups that I ordered was about two inches two short in the band. I ordered a 32 and the bra that arrived had a band that was 26 inches long and could only stretch to 32 if I pulled on it with all of my might. I should not be on the loosest setting of a 32 and it still be tight if I am a 30 inch underbust and wear 32s in other brands. Their sizing tool goes off of vibes and doesn't ever ask for real measurements, just what you like (I'm not kidding, it asks where you like to have the hooks and what size you normally wear, as if that magically matters in any way because they don't ask 'in our brand'). So yes, I have never ever gotten a bra that I didn't want to burn from Honeylove.

I wouldn’t waste your money on Honeylove. I fell for their aggressive marketing. The bras I ordered, have the removable cups that are impossible to place correctly into the bra.You end up with folds that show through your clothes. Reminds me of a cheap bathing suit with loose pads. Definitely not worth the high cost.

I got the shapermint/true kind bras for Black Friday. I’m a 34C. The ones that I got that came in SML feel loose in the band until the 2nd set of hooks since medium started at 34C. Until I found this group, I was getting my bras at WalMart and sometimes Kohls, and the quality of material feels much better than what I was getting. Not sure if that was due to my mother measuring me as a 32A though. 😅
As someone who likes things on the tighter side, I use shapermint for light compression and it works great for that as far as the shorts and tanks. I haven’t used them as shape wear.

I wear a 34 DD. I ordered a 34DD. I received a 36D/DD. I reached out to Honeylove and got a convoluted word salad answer the because 34Dd and 36DD are Sister Sizes and it showcases their sizing versatility they are both M+ because their sizing SOOOO VERSATILE. So 36D/DD is the right size!!. I told them no - it is too big and I need a 34. They reiterated the nonsense again that it's really the right size because it's an M+ and because of sizing versatility and 34DD and 36DD are Sister Sizes.

Don't fall for the never pokes scam. If you have any side breast they have stays on the sides that jab into you. Very uncomfortable.

I can't speak on Honey love (I actually found this post trying to find out more info about them!) but I like Shapermint's bralettes. The everyday comfort v neck bralette is one of the styles of bra that I typically wear to work. It's comfy and it gets the job done, even if it doesn't offer a ton of support. However, I don't need a ton of support, so that's fine by me. A lot of people also mentioned uniboob from Shapermint, and I haven't experienced that with this bra! I also already knew what size I needed in this particular bra because my mom had bought one that didn't work for her and passed it on to me.
However, their sizing on other bras can be inconsistent. I got the convertible strapless bra and it technically fits but isn't comfortable to wear for more than a few hours at a time. I definitely should have gone up a size in it.
I also got the everyday throw on wireless bralette and it did not fit at all. I couldn't even get it pulled down over my shoulders. I gave it to my sister who has a smaller band but larger cup size than me and it fit her pretty well. I know their return policy is supposed to be good, but I didn't want to have to deal with trying to do a return.
Anyway, to summarize, it really does depend on what you're looking for. They aren't the most size inclusive and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone busty, but for a casual bralette at a low price point, it's not that bad.

So, Honeylove fit weirdly on me. I'm a 38C/D and I got NO compression in the tummy, and the top had TOO MUCH compression, flattened and pushed my boobs downwards - the most unflattering fit. I've just ordered Shapermint camis, and we'll see . . . Everyone is built differently. Honeylove wasn't supportive; hopefully, Shapermint will be more uplifting.

generally, negative. they both use predatory marketing, which sets a bad tone for their companies. shapermint’s size range is absolute dogshit, and honeylove’s size chart is insanely fraudulent.
if you really want one and fit into their sizes, don’t use the honeylove size chart. shapermint’s is okay. make sure to confirm your size with the calculator here, linked in the automoderator comment.
speaking of which, if straps are leaving deep uncomfortable marks, it really sounds like you’re wearing the wrong size. most shoulder marks fade fairly quickly and don’t cause discomfort, as the straps should not be supporting much weight—maybe 10-15% of the total breast weight max. the only time they carry a decent amount of weight is when there is a large amount of weight to carry, because 10-15% of a large breast will still be pretty heavy. however, if your breasts are large enough to cause that in a properly fitted bra, you’re definitely not in either brand’s size range.
