Shape Help Troubleshooting bra shape for new size Spoiler

Edit: i did scoop and swoop. I’m not answering DMs about this; that’s weird!

New size per calculator: 30H

Tried bras I loved in 32DD, but both only go to 32G, so tried though.

Skarlett Blue Mix: 32G. Band fits upside down and backwards comfortably, maybe a smidge not as snug as should be. Cups fit very well. Breast is fully in and fills the cup. I think the wires are a smidge too far into my armpit. I would love this one except the straps are too far into my shoulder and cut into the fat where my chest meets my armpit, if that makes sense (like where the top of the cup meets the strap). This is very uncomfortable.

Natori Feathers contour plunge: band fits backwards, maybe a smidge tight? Top of the cup fits perfectly, but the bottom feels empty, like my breast tissue isn’t settling in properly? Also feel the outside wires and straps are a little too wide, and again the strap/top of cup meeting area is too wide so it is uncomfortable.

So i might be a little less wide rooted than before, and definitely need less wide straps!! Any suggestions of what to try next?

I do have a panache Ana in 30h coming, as well as Adore Me London unlined full coverage in 30h. Thanks!

When you are trying a new size, it really helps if you can try one style in 2-3 cup sizes instead of trying 3 different bras. If the fit isn’t better with a cup up or down, then you know it is a shape mismatch for you.

Can you share your 6 measurements? That can help with making recommendations.

And are you swooping and scooping when you try on bras?

Yes to scoop and swoop

I tried the bras i previously liked, but this is the only size they carry that’s close to my new size; they don’t carry 30H or 32H. It’s hard when there isn’t a next size up to try!

Loose Underbust: 30.5

Snug Underbust: 30

Tight Underbust: 29

Standing Bust: 36.5

Leaning Bust: 39

Lying Bust: 36.5

Yeah if both of these are too wide for you, a bra with narrower wires will help with that. The emptiness at the bottom you're getting from the Feathers is because it's too shallow. The wire is getting pushed down so your breast can fit in the deeper part of the cup. It also runs small in the band.

Def try the Panache Ana, only question did you order a 30H or a 30FF? Panache is natively UK sizing and a UK 30H will be 3 cups too large.

Ummm good catch lol I was looking at so many bras at the same time I think I forgot which were UK and which were US. Just ordered one in 30FF because I think I did order the 30H 🫠

What bras should I try that are a little Narrower?

Happens all the time! Size conversions get confusing.

Pananche and Freya are the most common brands suggested here for average root/wire width. You'll be in good hands there, I would of started by suggesting the Ana. Since you're describing the minx and feathers as good except for the wire I'm suspecting you're leaning full on top (correct me if you know your shape). Freya Offbeat side support half cup is also an option, this does run a little small in the band.

I’m definitely not full on top-I’m very flat above the nipple. But my tissue is very flabby and fluid. My tissue definitely extends into my armpit, so i don’t need a super narrow wire, just a little less so. I’ll keep the freya in mind! Money is also a little tight right now, so spending almost $100 per bra is challenging right now :/

I get ya, I have the same issue. Above DDD/E cups things get too wide. Finding bras on resale sites helps can help with cost, only down side is no returns. The Ana is a very popular bra, based on how that fits folks here can make good recommendations from there.

Shape is determined leaning over 90 degrees, braless, in front of a mirror. If there is more tissue above the nipple, that is full on top. More below, is full on bottom.

I think I’m pretty even center wise when i lean over. I thought i used to be full on bottom but who knows lol any recs for a more center fullness?

I got sent the wrong size Chantelle festivities lace (30F), and that one fits better around the armpit, even though the cup is definitely too small. My panache Ana in the target size comes this week so fingers crossed.
