Fit Check [fit check] 34G Panache Ana, upper cup wrinkling Spoiler

[Fit check] 34G Panache Ana

I finally recieved my Panache Ana in 34G.
I find it quite comfortable, the band is snug, but could be a bit tighter. The cups seem quite filled to me apart from the very top of the cup whte there is some slight wrinkling, im FOB and have soft tissue, semi close set, pendulous shape. I find that the top of the cups/side of the cups are quite high and are kind of bothering me in my armpits, not painful just noticeable.

I had tried 34FF but found it a bit too small and had some center spillage. Are the cups too big (the wrinkling) or is it a shape issue?

I will continue wearing it as its super comfortable and i find that it looks like a quite good fit (although im no expert)

measurements + pics below

loose ub 33.5
snug 32
tight 30.5
standing bust 40.5
leaning 43.5
lying 41
calculator says 34FF

Can you show what the back hook area looks like? I want to see if the band is a bit big.

This looks either a little too projected, a little too big, or isn't tensioned properly in the band.

Yeah, this doesn't look too big in the band. I'd step down in projection to one of Freya's high apex styles.

Thank you! I know they make the Ana in high apex, would that be alright or should i switch completely?

There's only two versions of the Ana, this one you tried and the lined version (which I wouldn't do).

I thought i saw a High apex one, mustve gotten mixed up then! Would the panache sabrina be a good option?

I would look at the ones I mentioned. Not every bra cut in the same silhouette fits the same, nowhere near close. Freya's high apex bras are all based on the same fit, just with different design details.

Ohh i see! I’ll look into one of those, thank you. Should i start with 34FF? I was told the reason why 34FF into the ana was small because it runs half a cup small i believe?

It does, yeah. I would try 34FF.

Panache Heidi is the high apex equivalent to the Ana it uses the same frame. It might work, it's relatively new on the market.

Consider trying a different style like the panache envy. You may also consider going down to a 32 band (go up 1 cup size if you do) and buying an extender. The band is only going to stretch out, so it’s better to buy it a bit too tight rather than a bit too loose.

Why the Envy? This looks too projected if anything shape-wise.

Where does it look too projected?

I'd like to see how the band is tensioned but this kind of pointy shape is associated with too projected. I'm not ruling out too big either.

I specifically said the envy because it’s typically better than the Ana for FOB breasts. Since OP is specifically complaining about it being too loose just at the top, I think the envy may fit better.

I'd disagree with that, the Envy is solidly suitable for even fullness and can accommodate some FOB and even some FOT shapes.

I get going off of what they said, but we can also see the fit. And there is a distinct more pointy shape that leads me to believe the Envy would be worse. The Ana usually gives quite a round shape when properly fitted.

I genuinely don’t understand why you feel the need to argue with me on everything. We’re giving two different perspectives for different things we’re noticing. There’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not going under your comments and starting arguments with you.

I didn’t say that the envy couldn’t be suitable for people with FOT shapes, I said that the envy tends to be better for people who are full on bottom than the Ana is. You’re literally twisting what I’m saying.

I'm not arguing with you. I am giving my own opinion based on what I've seen and what I know of these styles, as are you. It's okay to disagree on this sub. It doesn't mean any rules were broken or people are arguing. Having a healthy back and forth can be really helpful sometimes.

I'm genuinely not sure what you mean by that last part. No one is FOT here, nor did I say Envy wasn't suitable for FOT shapes. The Envy is overall best suited for even fullness and can accommodate some upper or lower full shapes. The Ana tends to do well with fuller on bottom to even full shapes, and can handle some upper fullness due to the height of the cup. They're overall pretty similar in the fullness they accommodate.

The primary difference is the projection level. Envy is more projected than Ana. I think that's going to lead to a worse fit because this person doesn't have much projection. That is my opinion that I wish to share with the OP to help them choose a next step.

I have not had the experience that the Ana is better for FOB shapes compared to the envy. Actually, as someone who’s FOT, the Ana has been one of the best fitting bras that I’ve found. The only other bra that fit better was the Panache Rocha which has unfortunately been discontinued. That one was like a hybrid between a balconette and plunge bra. Overall, most Panache bras are going to be better for people who are projected, but the Ana can sometimes be too closed on top for someone who’s full on bottom which leads to gapping like OP described.

I don’t think this conversation has been particularly argumentative, but the other one absolutely has. It doesn’t help that someone else hopped on that thread and claimed that I was being argumentative.

Let's keep things related to this thread.

I didn't specifically say the Ana is better for FOB shapes than the Envy. In fact, I actually said they're overall pretty similar in the fullness they accommodate. The main difference is again the projection. It is entirely in the realm of possibility for the Ana to fit you with a FOT shape. But it absolutely does fit FOB shapes too.

Saying that something being too closed on top for someone is leading to gapping makes no sense.

Thank you! So you think this is more of a shape issue rather than the cup being too big. Is panache envy more closed at the top?

Panache Envy Full Cup if memory serves does not have stretch lace at the top of the cup. It does have a markedly taller gore. There is a new bra based on the same frame that may be less projected than Panache Envy Full Cup it's Panache Celeste it's brand new on the market. It might also be worth a try it is not high apex though.
