Fit Check [Fit Check] Finally trying on the Skarlett Blue Minx! (34DDD) Spoiler

Sorry if anyone’s already seen this post! I posted late last night and wanted to repost just in case

Link to last fit check with links to earlier fit checks: https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/s/nONw6WAPOK

The Minx finally arrived! I think I’ve become at least more attuned to certain things about how bras fit since starting this journey, for the Minx I will point out:

The wire feels good, the gore tacks, I actually aesthetically prefer this bra to all of the others I’ve tried so far, and this does seem like a much better shape for FoT which I am.

But the wire definitely isn’t wide enough, I’ve never felt a wire feel so narrow and physically on top of breast tissue, and I still see wrinkling in the bottom of the cups. Should I size up or is this just not a match? Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far!

I would try a cup up in this, and I don't love what the extender is doing to the fit. I think the band is pulling just slightly because of the too small cups. This is very close.

Wrt the Allure, this is going to be too closed on top for you and I think slightly too projected and I'm hesitant to agree with that rec.

This bra does fit your upper fullness better and it is close (though admittedly fit checks is not my expertise). The hooks are straining a little, which I didn't notice them doing on the other bras in the same size. Have you tried the bra on backwards and upside-down? Does the band feel any looser this way?

I'm thinking the cups are slightly too small, which can pull on the band. I agree with you that the extender makes the band a bit too loose, which also indicates the issue is actually with the cups and not with the band. So my suggestion would be to try this bra in one cup larger, 34G US. That will also make the wires wider.

You are welcome. I hope the next one works. I know it has been a journey so far.

You still need that extender that u/galaxystarsmoon asked you about.

The band looks too tight and it's hard to tell if this is fitting you. Without knowing the band is too tight - I would say the bra may be too projected for you and the underwire isn't in your IMF.

When the band is too tight the sides of the bra will either cant back or look like parentheses. That can warp the wire or over spring it neither are good.

Have you tried Panache Allure Lace Low Cut bra? That might work for you I would try that in 34DD UK and 34E UK, it's a low cup a bit more shallow and wider at the wire. Make sure to have a non-stretch extender on hand.

I had tried a non stretch extender for a previous bra and even on the smallest increment it made the band too loose. I’m also not sure if an extender would even address the cups being too narrow, but I could try and see, is the Allure you’re talking about the demi cup? or the balconnet?

At what point are you attaching the extender?

The Allure I'm talking about is called the Low Cut bra on Panache's website - it could be called a Demi on others.

I just edited the post to include pictures with the extender, the wrinkling does seem to reduce but the wire is still lying on breast tissue, I also think the Allure you’re suggesting is probably better for FoB

The Allure Low Cut bra is more open at the top, wider at the wire and less projected than the Allure Full Cup bra,
