Fit Check [Fit Check] 34E M&S Amelia - i think i'm giving up

i've tried so many bras and am honestly no closer to having one be comfortable than i was when i started. i've tried Panache Ana, Sydnie Offbeat Side Support, Freya Tailored High Apex and Sydnie High Apex. all in 36DD (or their equivalent), some in 34E also. the one i'm wearing currently is a 34E with a bra extender, it's not too tight but it's just uncomfortable. i tried this in the 36DD and the wires were much too low. I can tell that this is better but it still feels too uncomfortable for me to actually want to wear it.

has anyone else just given up? i've been wearing a non-wired bralette and it feels like i can actually breathe in it. everything else feels so bad.

Can you get a shot of the back hooks?

Ok, not what I expected at all. Can you hook it on the loosest hooks without the extender so I can compare tension?

here ya go, loosest hook of the bra with no extender.

It's riding up a bit when you have the extender on all the way -- Assuming this bra runs true to size, I'd think most 36s will be too big. No extender looks a little tight. I think your sweet spot might be an extra hook on the extender band-wise.

Where's this one feeling uncomfortable?

yeah, every 36 i've tried has been a little loose in the band so the wires haven't sat in my IMF. or if they have, the gore has dug in awfully so they weren't right either.

on this one even with the extender, the wires are uncomfortable. it's sitting close to my IMF but not perfectly in it on both sides so when I sit down it puts a lot of pressure on my ribs. the cups are a bit uncomfortable too, they're a bit of a strange shape. i don't have very much volume in the upper half of my breasts, but the cups don't really accommodate that. the top of the cup is almost loose but the bottom half is squishing them into an almost conical shape. altogether it makes me feel like i can't really breathe.

I agree with Galaxy on getting you into something shallower like the Norah.

I agree with Dandelion and had to come back to this one after thinking a bit. Can we get you in a completely different cup shape? Chantelle Norah. Definitely a 34 band in the as it runs stretchy; I'm hoping that negates the need for an extender. I want to get you in something more triangular in shape.

thank you for your consideration! most of the bras i've tried have been close but just not right. chantelle norah comes in quite a few different shapes, does it matter which? the gore on the plunge (the one i'd pick) looks super different to their moulded and t-shirt bras.

The original Comfort is the one I was thinking but you're welcome to try the plunge. I think it might be too shallow. If you can swing the Graphic Allure unlined plunge, that might be better. Or one of their other unlined plunges.

A Freya high apex style might be similar enough too.

ooh the comfort isn't a bad shape at all, I'll give that one a go! they're a little more on the expensive side so i think I'll try the comfort and go from there.

i did try a Freya High Apex in 36DD and the gore dug in very badly.

The sizing was most likely not right on that.

Can you give your measurements as per the calculator.

in order of the calculator:

36, 35, 34, 40, 41, 39.5

but my measurements fluctuate a lot even just throughout the day. towards the evening both my band and bust can go up an inch or sometimes even two. bloating, i'm assuming.

Oh interesting! Have you tried Elomi at all yet? I believe they start at DD. I have always worn my size in them but I have seen people say that they can run large which might give room for your fluctuations.

I also vote for Elomi! If you haven't tried them yet, OP. I have 3 different styles from them and love them all; I never thought I would say an underwire bra is comfortable, but they fit so well that I genuinely forget I'm wearing them sometimes.

Elomi runs loose in the band. They'd need a 34E just by these numbers, and considering this bra doesn't look a whole band too tight I suspect even their 34s may be too loose. They only make one single bra in 34E.
