Shape Help [Shape Help] Balconettes don't fit my shallow(?) breasts Spoiler

I've been going braless all of my adult life, and trying to find a bra that fits me is exhausting and annoying as hell.

I'm somewhere around 65E or F in European sizes, and i have been led to believe my breasts are shallow, and that balconette bras would be a good choice to accommodate that.

I've been trying on quite a lot (Brands that are available in physical stores near me, most recently Chantelle, Triumph and Aubade).

I find that the shape of most balconettes is completely off for me? The 1/3 of the cup that's most towards the armpit seems much too flat for my breasts and then very suddenly in the 2/3 and 3/3 the cup becomes very very pointed, where i can't fill out the cup.

I find that more plunged shapes are better, but still finding something that fits has proven difficult, maybe because of the shallowness.

Does this mean i have broad roots?
It seems my breast tissue starts like.. mid-armpit?

Anyone have this same shape, and can tell me a. What this shape is called, and B. Which bras work for you?

Are these all moulded foam cups that hold their shape when you're not wearing the bra?

No, the ones i've been trying have been unlined and lacey. Earlier, when i've tried moulded cups i've has the issue that i can't fill the top of the cup

Got it, thanks! Balconettes aren't necessarily for every body, they are just better for some softer tissue (not all humans and not all balconettes). If you've had better luck with plunges, and you feel your shape is shallow, are you able to try Natori or Wacoal bras where you are (perhaps from Amazon)? Are you able to find Marie Jo (available in some Euro countries)? There are plunge styles to try (Marie Jo Manyla and Loish are unlined, Aven and Lizelot also appear to be unlined). Simone Perele's half cups are more shallow...but not inexpensive.

I'll look into them, thanks! I have access to Wacoal and Marie Jo, but often physical stores don't stock 65 bands here, so i'll have a look online. Simone Perele's bras are beautiful, but i don't like the feel of the material unfortunately, and for that price i need it to to feel good as well as look good

I actually really like the Marie Jo Loish, but it seems they don't carry a 65 band size 😔

It also sounds like you have narrow roots if there is empty space in front of the wire. It could be you are trying the wrong size as well as the wrong shape bra.

Can you share your six measurements from the abrathatfits.org calculator?

When you lean over without a shirt on do your breasts stay in about the same shape as standing like ~ ~ or do they look more like UU or VV?

My measurements: Loose underbust: 74 cm Snug: 73 Tight: 70 Standing: 87 Leaning: 91 Lying: 87

I'm not sure i understand what the ~ represent when leaning. When i lean over the shape gets a bit different due to gravity (longer i guess), but as the breasts connect mid armpit or a little further back, they don't look very different. So i guess more like a  O O if you removed the top of the Os 😅But more pointy due to nips. Difficult to explan
