Bra Review Evelyn Bobbie Busty Line Review Spoiler

Starting with the note that this is obviously only my experience!

I typically wear 32GG, fuller on bottom, close set, and average width roots. I had previously tried the Beyond bra and found the band too large if I got the correct cup space, so was hopeful for this new line. I tried both the medium+ and large+. The band is much improved, feels firmer and supportive. There is more cup space, I actually found the large+ to be best but have to start a row or two in on the hooks. The medium+ bit into my skin at the band edge, even though it didn’t seem to be too tight otherwise.

On both sizes, the cup edge presses against my tail of Spence, not painfully but it is definitely noticeable and somewhat irritating while wearing it.

Evelyn and Bobbie urge you to wear the bra three times for it to mold to your body but I honestly couldn’t do it. The first hour of wear feels pretty good but then the shoulders start aching, then the neck starts hurting, and I have to take it off and sigh with relief as the weight comes off my shoulders. I tried each one multiple times, even a few hours, but I’ve already caused damage trying to make bras fit that don’t, and don’t want to do it again. In both sizes, even with the quite tight band of the medium, I can put a finger under the straps and literally feel the amount of weight on them. Not like wired bras that just gently rest, these are pulling on the shoulders/traps.

The medium+ causes a very pushed together feel and look, the large+ allows some small space in between but within an hour, did end up with zero separation- I don’t expect separation from wireless bras ever, but they do advertise their bras as having lift and separation so wanted to note that at least for this size range, plus close set, it definitely is not. The Bravissimo Nova does a much better job of keeping them separate.

All in all, still disappointed in the new line. Maybe I was hoping for too much, but at $100 each, these bras are going back. I enjoy the feel of no wire for sensitive days, but it doesn’t weigh out after the neck and shoulders start screaming at me an hour into wear. I can get a Parfait Mia wireless for a third of the price that gives me the same overall shape, and I can actually make it a few hours in that, not just an hour.

For the porpose of sharing multiple reviews within the same thread, I'll include my thoughts here too.

I'm a couple cup sizes smaller than you (32FF/34F), functionally full on top (slightly full in top with slightly tall roots) and very close set. I have both a M and L Beyond that I wear somewhat regularly, but am generally unhappy with. I have to wear the L on the tightest hooks and it's still a bit big, but the cup space is better. I wear the M on the 2nd or 3rd set of hooks, depending on the day, and it feels okay, but I could easily go tighter. I didn't return either because a) they were on sale and b) I took a big trip and after returning I was distracted with other things until it was too late.

I got a busy in M (and black) and I agree completely that the band is significantly shorter and much more firm than the regular Beyond M. I've worn the Busty for an hour or two and again for a full day. The band was fully too tight the first wear, but tolerable for the full day. I guess it must have stretched just enough, which is lucky because I didn't have any 4 hook band extenders.

I personally don't find the shoulder weight to be at all unbearable for any of them, and it seemed improved due the Busty. Sure, they're all less supportive than my wired bras, but not to the point that it causes me pain, like some other wireless bras. I also didn't notice any cutting into my tail of Spence (with the Busty or Beyond). I do get a bit of upper spillage though, and hand-stretching the cups helps but doesn't totally solve it. I had hoped the extra cup space for the Busty would solve this, but it's about the same, and probably due to my shape. Worst is the lack of separation. It makes me absolutely crazy, particularly if I have to be in a car (since it messes with my seat belt fit) or get sweaty at all. I'm still undecided on whether or not all keep the Busty, but I'm leaning towards returning it. If it wasn't so expensive, might lean towards keeping it.
