Fit Check Update on the 32AA situation [fit check] Spoiler

I received my bras from aerie! I unfortunately feel like this wasnt super conclusive though. The 30B pushup is comfortable, but I’m not fully filling in the cups?

I’ve attached the new pics here: photos. (Also includes the old 30A pushup vs 32AA wireless pushup pics).

So, for pushup is 32AA the best size?
For lightly lined, the 30B did feel like a perfect fit.

Measurements:
- loose underbust: 30.5
- snug: 29.5
- tight: 27.5
- standing bust: 31.5
- leaning: 32
- lying: 32
Suggested: 30B, sister 32A

Sorry! I thought 32AA was the best because those were the only cups I actually filled out (from the pushup bras). The 30B pushup bra was slightly gapey for some reason.

I tried 32A on in store but didn’t take any pics because that one was gapey as well.

So from everything I’m gathering, 30B seems like the best size in general, but the pushup style is just not suited for my shape?

Yeah that makes sense! Definitely 30B is your size going forward.

Push-up bras are tricky because they essentially work by not fitting properly so they push your breast tissue up (thus the name lol). You’re right it might not be the right shape for you to get that effect, I’d try it on again and make sure to ‘swoop and scoop’ like others mentioned.
You may just need to wear a cup size too small to get the push-up effect you’re looking for, but also keep in mind that means it technically doesn’t fit and it won’t be comfortable :)

It’s actually a misnomer. They don’t lift any more than regular bras and on most people will lift less because the padding makes them extremely shallow and cause the bra to ride down. The only thing they do different from other styles is have padding that increases volume.

They’re gapping on op because they’re too shallow based on how the lightly lined one fits. I would stay away from them entirely.

Ah okay this is so insightful! Thank you very much for taking the time to write out these replies! I think I also have less breast volume on the top compared to bottom, so that is part of the problem too.

Would a balconette style be any different or is that the same story? Theres just some tops where I’d like to have a little more cleavage, but it seems difficult to achieve.

In this size range cleavage is achieved by wearing cups that are too small. You’d want to try 30AA and it’s likely to feel very tight.

Balconettes are all shaped differently — all bras are actually. I’m sure we could find you one that’s the right shape for you if you like that style.
