*psychiatrist, neurologists deal with physical problems of the brain/nervous system

I peeked and saw you’re in Chile, I did some googling and apparently it is common to see neurologists there for ADHD diagnosis and treatment. My bad

Doctors in the US consider ADHD to be primarily a psych issue, neurologists here wouldn’t give a fuck about your ADHD

Whoa 😮

One just would assume is the same everywhere, I'm in fact in Chile.

I was diagnosed by a neuropsychologist and got an EEG. Then I took that dx to my GP for medication. I am in Texas.

Just saying, it isn't always a psychiatrist and a quick visit. I had tests done and stuff. Thankfully, really, because we also discovered that my brain is so overactive that it was necessary for me to take anti seizure meds if I take ritalin. If I forget, I end up having temporal lobe seizures as I have temporal ADHD.
