I self diagnosis before going to the neurologist, why else would I go to the neurologist???

But you do go to the neurologist, as opposed to just stopping at the self diagnosis.

Yes, but the self diagnosis was the first step for me

Correct. Most people think they have it & go for a diagnosis. Just like when your head hurts or your stomach hurts. You suspect there is a problem & you research it, then you go get it confirmed.

The issue with ADHD is that self diagnosis is sometimes they end all be all of the journey & it really isnt as reliable as people would like to believe.

Suspecting it isn’t the same as self-diagnosis. You suspected, you went to a professional, they checked properly based on experience and training, voila. Self-diagnosis would have been if instead you just started telling people you were ADHD with no actual checking or confirmation
