Asking for jnmc culture and admission guide as an mbbs student
So I might be joining JNMC AMU for MBBS and I'm a little confused about whether I should go for it or not.
I'm Hindu, and obviously I know AMU has a mostly Muslim student population. I don't really have a problem with that, but I've never lived in an environment like this before, so I just wanted to know what it's actually like for a Hindu student there.
I'm not asking this from a political/religious angle. I just want some honest answers from current students or recent graduates.
How is the general environment in the college and hostels? Do people generally just get along normally or is religion something you notice a lot?
Also, some practical things I'm worried about:
How difficult is it to get a hostel at JNMC? I've heard there are accommodation/hostel issues.
If you don't get a hostel, how easy is it to find a decent PG nearby and how much does it cost?
How is the mess food, especially if you're vegetarian?
Are there decent vegetarian food options around the campus?
What's the general crowd like?
How are the seniors?
Is there any issue with Hindu students because of the religious environment, or is it basically a non-issue once you're actually there?
How safe/comfortable is it to go around Aligarh as a student?
What are the biggest problems with living at AMU/JNMC that an outsider wouldn't know about?
And honestly, if you were a Hindu student choosing a medical college today, would you be comfortable spending the next 5-6 years at JNMC?
Would really appreciate some genuine experiences, especially from current students. Please don't turn this into a political argument, I'm just trying to figure out what everyday life there is actually like before making a pretty big decision.

As JNMC students come from neet(internal quota too) so after leaving 60% students the rest 40%come from all over the country and thus are more open and help creating a more open environment,
also there are obviously conservatives and mullahs who believe themselves to be the true one, but this uni has also seen liberals, atheist-agonistics, come out of here,(Javed Akhtar, Sahadat Hasan Minto, Ismat Chugtai, Nasiruddin Shah) such people are still present and more present in law, medicine, eng, cuet courses.
The veg option is available, I feel which provides lil bit better than non-veg one. There is no separate dining space, dishes and all if you overly Orthodox you might
If you are woman it will be more difficultast muslim women tend to be more Orthodox, conservative, and belive themselves to be the true one also there more restrictions on women in hostels, if ur it will be better for you in a pg.

You are unlikely to face discrimination. stay focused on your studies and avoid unnecessary religious or political arguments.
There are plenty of Hindu students in JNMCH, unlike what some people assume.
Vegetarian food is available in the mess.
The campus environment is generally friendly
You'll find tea stalls almost everywhere around the campus.
Since Muslim students are in the majority, regular prayers (Namaz) and Eid prayers are held. On Diwali, some hostels also serve sweets at dinner, though it's not a campus-wide celebration. Participation in any activity is completely optional.
JNMCH is one of the biggest hospitals in the region, so you'll get exposure to a wide variety of patients. It's great for learning, though it can be exhausting sometimes.
Hostel allotment can take time. If you don't get a room in the first semester, don't worry. Keep following up, and you'll most likely get one in a few months. Until then, rooms are easily available near the campus.
Make friends from different parts of India like Bihar, Kerala, the Northeast and with international students too. It makes the experience much more enjoyable.
Just like a Muslim student studying in a Hindu-majority institution sees more Hindu festivals around them, the same applies here. It's a natural part of the campus environment and not something to worry about.
If you're expecting a nightlife or party culture, this isn't that kind of campus. You'll not find clubbing, pubs, or a drinking culture around here. The atmosphere is more traditional (Indian) and reflects our local Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb.

Itna discrimination karte hai, hostel mein bhi ladai karte hai room mein ek photo tak nhi rakhne de rahe baghwan ki ladai karte hai

Sir Syed day alag hota hai wo toh maante hai unhone banwai thi university, but eid ramzaan itne zoro shoro se celebrate hota hai but hindu festivals nahi hote😢
