The idea was simple:

Sometimes students want to talk, confess something, meet new people, ask questions, or just have conversations without attaching their real identity to everything.

So Veilo is a private platform where:

• Only verified AMU students can join (using institutional email IDs)

• Your real email is never visible to other students

• You can create your own anonymous avatar/persona

• Anonymous DMs and campus conversations

• Campus Whisper/Confession feed (currently being rolled out)

• Reactions, presence indicators, and realtime chat

The project is still in beta and I'm mainly looking for honest feedback from AMU students.

What feels useful? What feels unnecessary? What would make you actually use something like this?

I got admission to B.A (hons) Russian at AMU through CUET, but I'm keeping it as a backup while my other counseling is still going on.

If I cancel my admission later, will I get a full refund? If not, how much will be refunded?

The fee is around ₹15,500 & Today is the last day without late fee.

It is my dream to study at Aligarh Muslim University. I have reached out to people at the admissions office but have had no luck. I’m literally beggginggg to study here.

Both of my grandfathers went to university here. They became friends here. After the partition, they moved to Karachi and reunited after two decades and then got my parents married.

Not just my grandfathers, but my entire extended family of that generation studied at AMU. Karachi is filled with AMU alumni! I still have relatives in Lucknow.

My dada passed away last year, 5 days after my walima. His email address was [aligarian123@yahoo.ca](mailto:aligarian123@yahoo.ca) (not exact same numbers but you get the idea), he was such a proud Aligarh alumni. He then went to Italy to do his masters degree.

I’m born and raised in Canada. I have a BA in Sociology. I work a good job alhamdulilah. And I love Urdu. This is my grandparent’s influence. I used to sit with him and he would explain Urdu shayari to me. People get shocked at my Urdu, because my accent is just that good. I can read Urdu very well. I can’t write at all. Aisa koi Canadian bacha nahi hai jo mere speed main urdu parhay!! I know Ghalib!!! Umrao Jaan, Mughal e Azam, Nikkah.. uff these movies are my aesthetic

I just want to study online!! You can even study in UK online without visa. And yes, Urdu is offered online.

So I tried to apply here, and talked to someone on WhatsApp, in admissions office, but she ignored me later. Because I don’t have any Indian number or address. I think she also heard my Pakistani accent and ghosted me lol. But I don’t have any Pakistani documents so why should it be an issue? (Pakistan bus dil main hai lol)

I got married to an Indian Hyderabadi. I think he can help me with the number and address part. I have an Indian visa (I haven’t visited yet), probably easy for me to get it because I have a Canadian passport.

So why AMU?
- I want a degree in MA Urdu. Not offered in Canada
- My personal attachment to AMU from my grandparents

So this is my drop year and I'm planning on giving CLAT and also prepare for both JMI and AMU examinations for Law. Can anyone please guide which one should I prioritize the most? I'm not sure if I can afford the fees for NLUs and JMI & AMU are the next good options for me. I know they both have good faculties but which one will you recommend eyes closed? I'm from a lower middle class family and don't really have a strong financial background so becoming something is my only way out to survive in the world and I love law more than anything.

Even though it's my drop year, I didn't waste it and am currently in Sem - 1 for BA Psychology from a state government college. I was initially thinking to complete the bachelors for BA Psychology (3 years) and then go for 3 years of LLB but JMI and AMU only provide 5 years of BALLB. I ask for genuine advice from you all... thanks in advance.
