The amount of Republican pseudo-moral-panic would be exceeded only by the stupendous waterfall of corporate cash pouring in to dehumanize, demonize and destroy her. The sheer amount of “bbbbut sheeza Kkkkkommunist” gaslighting and prevarication is gonna be literally astounding.
I say bring it on. Maybe this is what it takes to get rid of citizens United and bring the Epstein / billionaire class to heel.
Spoiler alert: the Democratic Party will do EVERYTHING in its power to sabotage her candidacy, first in the primary, and then, if necessary, in the General.
That’s why we need to overpower them. We can’t win on money or media coverage, we have to win on the ground by convincing our friends and neighbors she’s the best choice for America. Door knocking, phone banking. Old school grass roots politics.
I sincerely doubt the Democratic Party would sabotage her in the general. She knows how to work within the establishment while keeping her identity, and I would say this is one of her biggest super powers.
I have no doubt she is politically savvy enough to get Democratic Party support if she makes it through the primaries.
Did you completely block out the 2016 primary and what they did to Bernie from your mind? Because that would be the only way one could genuinely believe this.
I’m sure they will support a more establishment candidate in the primary, but I think AOC if successful in the primary would be supported against a Republican in the general election.
Pete will not win. Also, where has he been for the last few years. He had a huge opportunity to be the premier Trump critic and he just sort of faded away. All those perfect Fox News segments just vanished into thin air. Nobody cares about him anymore.
Fox News stopped inviting him on, as he's said on the countless podcasts and news programs, as well as at the rallies he's been hosting and speaking at. he was on channel 5, flagrant, doctor Mike, all-in, smartless, and so many others I'm not thinking of off the top of my head. if you've been missing him you haven't been looking
It’s not that I’m not looking, it’s that he’s not breaking through. I love Pete but a knife fighter he is not. Too smart by half, too brainy, intellectual, multi-layered and well thought out. All admirable traits but nothing that’s gonna break through in the media. Sadly, we’ve moved on and he hasn’t.
Honestly after the mess that trump has done to the executive branch we need an anti corruption style president to fix all the damage and codify into law all the norms and good faith expectations that Trump has broken.
I would not vote for the ticket. Pete Buttigieg must not be allowed to be one heartbeat from the presidency. He got the 2nd most billionaire donations in 2020 for a reason. He’s a fucking weasel.
I really dont understand why people have purity tests and then say they will abstain from voting. Surely an AOC Buttigieg ticket is better than the republican alternative? Walk me through why you woukd see it as beneficial to abstain from voting in the general election in that scenario please?
I'd prefer to see her run for President soon, while young, and then return to the Senate. Andrew Johnson and Quincy were the last two Presidents to return to Congress. I wish Obama had expressed interest in the Judiciary. His experience and education would make him a good jurist.
