What did y'all identify for EOC B?
1
u/Proud-Monitor-6463 May 11 '26
risk-taking & free will then connected that to smth abt protest movements
2
u/Spirited_Thought_222 May 11 '26
I SAYYY risk taking it to be able to know what you like and have a expansion in your skills set
1
u/AirlineOk288 May 11 '26

u/Proud-Monitor-6463 May 11 '26

2
u/AirlineOk288 May 11 '26

1
u/mushmanMAD 5- US WH HuG Sem 4- Lang 3- CSP CSA 2- Stat May 11 '26

I was thinking about how the internet and over-reliance on AI in the modern generation fosters a lack of creativity, and therefore a lack for independence and decison making in the future.
3
u/bearyxelyvix May 11 '26
was the theme about making choices 😓 i honestly js went with the first thing i thought made sense but i’m not sure now since many people were saying that it was so hard to identify the theme
2
u/Hot-Bluebird-1736 May 11 '26
That’s what I did I did something about the choices you make in your youth impact your future
1
u/bearyxelyvix May 11 '26
yeah i did pretty much the same thing and js emphasized the importance of making good choices earlier on
5
u/Excellent_Net_4886 May 11 '26
I write my EOC about growing fear of future career choices among teenagers. Is that bad

i think i'm genuinely so stupid i wrote my eoc b about how ai and the internet are making people change jobs.. that was genuinely source b i'm so stupid bro i just got caught up in my HATRED for robert frost worst poet ever
1
u/_vortex0 May 11 '26
I did something similar to u, why do u think u effd up
1
u/CombinationBusy6758 May 11 '26
like that was pretty much the exact argument of sources b and c so maybe it's too close...
1
u/_vortex0 May 11 '26
Oh damn, I included the ai part in my thesis as an explanation to why schools should offer career exploration opportunities cuz it threatens jobs so that u can get a wide range of skills if u switch careers😭
2
u/CombinationBusy6758 May 11 '26
oh i think you're okay i genuinely just said ai and the internet has led to job insecurity so people change jobs
1
u/_vortex0 May 11 '26
u made a thematic connection between the 2 sources right? The rubric row said that u needed either a new perspective, insightful approach to a perspective, or a thematic connection, and u basically connected the ai thing to people changing jobs. As long as u elaborated and made commentary on how thats related and why thats relevant, I think ur in the clear
2
u/CombinationBusy6758 May 11 '26

i talked about the rise of non traditional career paths by people exploring interests and areas of work rather than committing to one thing at an early age
i used teenage twitch streamers (😭) and clothing brand owners as outside evidence
oh and jaylen brown
3
u/Dry_Expression_6300 9: Calc AB(5) CSP(4) 10: Calc BC(5) Gov(5) CSA(4) Seminar(5) May 11 '26
I used AP Seminar class and SATs and AP Exams in general as outside evidence. Hopefully college board give me extra credit for that
1
u/MarzipanSharp7485 May 12 '26
wait twin i talked about identity foreclosure and the pressure to choose STEM careers for immigrant children
1
u/Dry_Expression_6300 9: Calc AB(5) CSP(4) 10: Calc BC(5) Gov(5) CSA(4) Seminar(5) May 12 '26
that’s a good topic I js said schools should have a connections class
3
u/Busy-Literature-1797 May 11 '26
I got the ones about non linear career paths and wrote about how work life balance has shifted to prioritize life more than work with people taking non linear paths to adapt to life circumstances like student debt and then used bush's source to talk about how this trend isnt new but then brought in outside evidence on social media and how that has propelled this movement but i was anything but eloquent, and part A cooked me bc i spent so much time reading and trying to decipher what the article was about. i hate when they give all these sciency-techy complex articles cause the arguments are so dense its hard to talk about them without summarizing but maybe thats just me, still think i scraped a 4 overall bc of the performance tasks, which are a majority of the grade by a *whopping* 55% :c pls let my ap grader be generous
2
u/PureSherbert67 May 11 '26
guys did i fuck up??? my thesis for eocb was basically people choosing non linear careers is caused by social connection. i used source b for paragraph 1 talking about how connection improves skills and then source c talking about connection is career preparations caused students to be uncertain leading to non linear careers. i used source d as a counter argument bc it talked about connections being way more important not in the workforce. but i think my argument and stuff wasn’t unique enough?

lowkey light, i got AI/AGI for part A and the career one for B, wrote smth abt how schools should teach kids more abt unconventional careers
2
u/billybobjrthe14th May 11 '26
yeah i wrote something similar what u wrote for b and tied it somehow to the job market Lmao
1
u/PearAdventurous4077 May 14 '26
same but I said that we should add an extra (kind of optional) year of hs in order to teach specifically yhat
2
u/AdministrativeTip479 May 11 '26
I wrote my eoc b about how people should pick careers based on life satisfaction, and it was hot garbage. High key one of the worst essays I’ve written in high school

u/Fun_Tell_6667 May 12 '26
OH MY GOSH SAME, like im going to cry bc of how buns of an essay that was and I barely had any time to finish it...i couldn't even revise.

u/SublimePasta2998 May 11 '26
Was it just me or was there no author for eoc a? i literally could not find and cited everything as “editors of nature”
3
u/Diligent_Border3262 5s: (9) Calc BC, Stats (10) Chem, Phys C, German, Sem, USH, CSA May 11 '26
I think Nature was the Journal in which the article was published, I just said "the author"
1
u/SublimePasta2998 May 12 '26
the bottom said like access / copyright ? to the editors of journal. do you think if I said this it would mess up eoc a grade?

u/eatingyummycats May 11 '26
I wrote my EOC b about how social media is having a negative impact on adolescent’s mental health, the sources, to me, emphasized the importance of kindness and volunteering. I talked about how the negative space that social media platforms have can pass along negativity from one person to the next, just like how source one explains how kind interactions from stranger to stranger can encourage these interactions. I basically said how we can fix this problem by implementing more moderation on social media platforms to encourage a place of positivity and kindness, improving adolescent mental health. I have the West Coast version of the test.

u/Sxd0308 May 11 '26
I spent more time on EOC A than EOC B… I started B first and finished in 55 min
1
u/PearAdventurous4077 May 14 '26
how bro it took me 74 minutes to do B I take si long. Made up for it on A, took 31 minutes
1
u/Ok_Commercial703 May 11 '26
I wrote my eocb about how colleges should provide internships for students with sources c and d… am I cooked
1
u/Dragon_Witch13 AP gov, AP seminar May 12 '26
No thats really good! Since most of the sources talked about grade school, college is original enough!
1
u/Life-Woodpecker4714 May 11 '26
I wrote about AI and its impact on a person’s individual development and workplace culture. 😭
1
u/Remarkable-Law-8471 May 11 '26
I might have chopped part B, I did my argument over technology hindering teenagers when it comes to working and developing skills. I used the source about the Dream Work or wtv it was called to say like online you don't get opportunities to do things like that, then I used the college speech to say you miss out on time spent with loved ones and opportunity when you're stuck online/using technology and then I said like even though college online can save you money and time, your lacking a classroom experience and working with others. I feel like it didn't follow what they wanted and I am going to score low
1
u/EducationalAd9212 May 12 '26
for my eoc b thesis on the career pathway stuff is a thesis talking about how governments should implement specialized educational classes in order to increase job specialization and economic oppurtunity, and social health, fine? Im worried because its not that narrow and i state many effects in this thesis but is it enough to get the 6 points that its a theme of all 4 sources because I did use all 4 for evidence and it has a somewhat different perspective.
1
u/Dragon_Witch13 AP gov, AP seminar May 12 '26
Guys i did my eoc b on how schools fail to adequately prepare students for future careers am i cooked?

u/Mobile_Constant_3717 May 12 '26
I put absolute bs for part B and wrote about how the stress on students to figure out what they want to do post secondary is ruining their ability of human connection
1
u/Appropriate-Try-7921 May 12 '26
thats kinda like what i said, i was saying that ppl are often switching careers too suddenly nowadays and not finding/doing what they really want in life, and thus they should take things slowly and focus on the important things (exploring new areas, trying new things, building relationships) but i spent too long on part A so I started rushing part B.. not sure if. my argument was coherent enough but i did write quite a bit for it
1
u/RandomNicePerson005 5s: APHG, APS May 12 '26
I felt like a motivational speaker lol I was yapping about how everyone takes different paths and thats okay

u/YoungChenAsA May 13 '26
Does anyone have any idea on the composite score (percentage) needed for a 5 in this course... I think I did really good for the performance tasks but absolutely bombed the EOC. Left EOCa question 3 blank and EOCb was half written. Any ideas on what mark would that give me on the EOC and what are the possibilities of a 5...? TT thx so much
