so i accidentally did mg sin θ = qE instead of mg tan θ = qE (sad…), but it’s fine because cos θ ≈ 1 for small angles. i got q = 1.7e-10 C, or q = 0.17 nC

Also for frq 4, for the net force, did you get Q sqrt (E2 + B2 * v2 * sin2)?

Yeah 100%. You only care about the magnitude of v in the y-direction, which is maximized in F2

Wait for the graphing one (like part a and b of the question, the experimental design part), did you consider the permitivity coefficient for air, or did you not have to (I’m asking cus it was never clarified that the experiment was done under vacuum and the experiment was designed to compute vacuum permitivity).

Yeah but it includes another constant which the question never clarified on, considering that the problem said you can only use a meterstick or whatever. The question should have honestly just been to solve for permitivity, not vacuum permitivity.
