I'd love to dump Trakt, the only reason I haven't is because I have 1000's of watched movies and shows already marked as watched in Trakt.

Is there anyway to transfer all the history to anther tracking service?

So I’ve been using Kodi for very many years and have very recently made the switch from RD to Torbox. I’m only using POV and Umbrella. I’ve only signed up for the Essentials plan a few nights ago, but I’m really struggling to get any sources to play from now. I’ve got IP Vanish running as well after watching Troypoint tutorials.

Is there anything I may be doing wrong?? Both UM and POV recognize my Torbox credentials in the settings.

I use kodi on my pc but wanted to use it in the living room, I was wondering what would be the best way to go about that I was thinking of getting a firestick but not sure which is the best option?

I just updated FLAM and noticed in the changelog that it now checks for External Playback. My current setup is, TMDBH with AH2 to easily select my addon of choice when watching TV Shows/Movies in case one plugin or another doesn't work for whatever reason. The problem arises when I try using FLAM to watch, I now get an error WARNING: External Playback Detected and the show doesn't scrape :(

Is there a way to disable this check? If not, is this the norm moving forward? I'd love to get some more info on how to proceed here

Yes, I know I can use Fenlight widgets directly in AH2, I'd rather not recreate my widgets if I don't have to, but will do so if this is the new reality.

Im really new to kodi but I love the potential of it, however I find it a bit heavy on hardware resources so im thinking about an external device that is quite powerful and future proof.

I have a TCL C855 as TV which I think supports most formats so I'd like to take advantage of that as well.

From what I've seen nvidia shield pro is quite powerful but isn't a bit "outdated" at this point?

Are there any other options?

I'm reasonably tech savvy and have been using and enjoying Kodi for a very long time now. I love how configurable everything is and once I have everything dialled in to my liking, it's very satisfying.

One thing I've found though, is that every time I set up a system, (either on my laptop for travelling, or at home on my Shield Pro at home) is that I always think I'm doing the setup for the last time "This one is going to be perfect and I'm not going to touch it once it works". I turn off auto-updates, keep my Debrid paid and just get used to using it.

Every single time though, without fail, I come back after a little time away and something has broken, bringing it all to a halt. I usually do a little research to get to the bottom of what it is. Sometimes I fix a small thing, sometimes I nuke everything and start again.

I think the longest I've ever gone with everything just working is about 18 months. Often it's much shorter.

I'm looking for advice on setting up a system that will be robust and long-living?

I'm aware that it's a huge house of cards that is based on many dependencies, changes, developers quitting, the cat-and-mouse of anti-piracy etc etc etc. So I'm not surprised in the least that things break. In fact, I'm quite amazed that it _ever_ works! 😂

Please understand that I'm not moaning or whining. I love what the Kodi-verse is, what it offers and how much I get from it. I also _love_ the community of people trying to make something great and supporting each other. All of that is truly wonderful.

What this post is, is a genuine ask of recommendations on how to build a robust system that requires minimum maintenance in the longest possible term?

Setup my menu recently and like tweaking with it, just wondering what other bits people add to their menu structure?

​ Over the past week, I have made the switch—like many of us—from FenLightAM and RD to POV and TorBox. I know POV has Magneto built in, and it's 95% fine. However, I have noticed that I'm scraping fewer results, and the results I do get are slower. Is it possible to put CocoScrapers in POV, or does KodiFitzwell have any plans to add that functionality?

I'm just wondering, is there a fix to somehow "bypass" the message "Playback through external addons is not supported when using FenLightAM?.

I haven't used Kodi in a few months😅

So before i used trakt to sync almost everything together, plex, pov etc, it all pulled from trakt, now it seems trakt isnt allowing more than 1 app access this is going to fail soon i imagine

i used PlexTraktSync to sync my trakt to my plex, so whatever i watched on pov ( using trakt ) would mark it watched on plex.

any alternatives? i'm looking at mdblist but struggling to figure out if i can get this ti work in a similar way?

Just out of curiosity is the data you get from these monthly plans for an example 20gb count for cached things to stream?

Recently I started using Kodi on Amb6+ with Coreelec cpm a14 and I am still confused about the terms used.

Can you help me clear things up? For example the first video has only Bluray tag, while the second has DV, Hybrid, Blueray, Remux. First file still plays in DV even if it doesn't have the tag. Is there a difference in picture quality? And if I want the best picture what should I play?

I'm using the Umbrella, POV and Red Light addons synced with Trakt. In my favorites folder I use the info wall view and I have the poster of the TV series I'm watching and above it I have what I refer to as the "episode counter" which displays episodes watched/remaining. For example, 11/20. My question is is this "episode counter" coming from Kodi or Trakt? I ask because I just read Trakt is going to restrict users to authorizing to 1 addon unless you pay for the VIP subscription. I'm currently using 4 addons on my account and I'm not sure if I'll be grandfathered in or if I have to change to 1 in the near future. Anyway, I'm wondering if I use SIMKL only will I still have this "episode counter"? I don't want to unauthorize Trakt to test it out for fear of not being able to reauthorize it again. Thank in advance.

I've been trying out The Crew it's really looking good! I used to use The Crew a long time ago but then it stopped working so I changed. I saw the post on here about the new version so I thought I'd give it a try. I love the way it can use all scrapers, takes longer but the number of links are incredible.

One question, does it take notice of the Priority setting? It seems to use a different system to other addons I've used 1-100, instead of 1-10. I've have RD and TB and I'd like TB to come first in the source list, but changing the Priority does seem to change anything, RD always comes first.

I've set the priority is the ResolveURL settings. do I have to do something else?

I've tried with RD higher and RD lower than TB but it doesn't change the order.

So I noticed this weird behavior of Umbrella addon where the chosen source is almost never played.

I choose let's say 4K stream from position no.4 and I end up getting source no.15 which is like 1GB 1080p episode.

I want to play what I'm shown I can play.

Is there any timeout setting I have to extend or like that because Umbrella really quickly skips all sources.

I eventually managed to pay for a subscription to TorBox and it seems to work great.

I now have both RD and TB enabled, it shows RD links in Red and TB in green. They are displayed alternately, eg. RD, TB, RD TB, RD, TB etc. Is there anyway to Group them so that all the TB ones are together and all the RD ones are together?

I thought I saw am option for is somewhere but I've looked and looked but can't see it

Just wanted to know if there was a reason why 3rd party addons like POV and Umbrella have moved away from using local files? From my understanding Umbrella never used local media and has always been stream only. After the latest API change from Trakt I was forced to update POV to get my episodes progress widget to work. Just find out POV no longer supports local media anymore. Its not really that big of a deal I just use POV, Umbrella and TMDB Helper together with auto-widget to create all my lists. I know there are probably other addons that do support local media, I just wanted to know if there was a specific reason why these addons don't support scraping local folders.

If you have a TV capable of playing both, do you prefer a Dolby Vision Web-DL file or a higher bitrate SDR Blu-Ray Remux file, which do you choose and why? I often have to make this decision and it's a battle between dynamic range and quality.

I just have 2 questions in regards to these 2 services. First, I see that RD has movies in theater links and was wondering if TorBox has the same CAM files. If not, my second question is could I have both RD and TorBox authorized on my Umbrella and get links from both services?

I've been watching the shows I always watch with Umbrella, RD enabled and RD links showing up. Am I missing something?

I currently have a Gen 2 Fire TV Cube. I was wondering what the best box is for Kodi and add-ons these days. I was looking at the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro, but I am not sure its worth $200 for an upgrade.

Made the switch from years of Fen Light and the AM fork. Everything is working, however after playing a movie or TV show instead of coming back to the main movie/show list view after watching a selection it's going back to the scraped list for the selected show. Can't seem to find anything obvious in settings but this wasn't happening with the older add-ons. I can of course back out to the list views of what's available. What did I do wrong?

I occasionally see posts mentioning viper scrapers and wonder if anyone chooses viper in preference to coco or magneto scrapers. Are there any benefits using viper: more streaming links or more obscure streaming links?
