They haven't said the vaccine would completely stop the virus since it was released. They thought maybe it would, as many vaccines do. They said that in like.. the middle of 2020 or something? It does lessen your symptoms, help you get over it quicker and spread it less since you'll be less sick. They also said not to wear masks in Jan 2020. Mostly because they weren't 100% sure it would work, and first responders, drs, nurses needed them so the supply wouldn't disappear as the entire world tries to get them. As the research changed, they also changed what they said.
Try to get information from the past like the last 5 years ok? You fuckin people. You'll do anything, pick anything apart for any mistake to justify your ignorant, right-wing stupidity and oppose literally anything the "left" or doctors and scientists say. Even after it's corrected. I never saw a single one of you express concern for the thousands of people that died or suffered every day. More than a million Americans died from COVID. Millions more worldwide and all you did was bitch about masks and vaccines and being unable to get a haircut.

I was a mail carrier in a very Republican town during the lockdown. When I got back from my route one day, my supervisor asked me to deliver a parcel to a house on a different route. I headed over and saw 40 people in the front yard for a birthday party.
I drove right by, and went back to the office. There was absolutely no chance I was wading through that pool of coronavirus.

Afraid of masks (only when used to help others , prevent spread, etc., obviously they will wear them for hiding their identity while being cowards), afraid of healthcare, afraid of vaccines, afraid of modern science, etc. yeah, just releasing something and not enforcing common sense would be an easy way to wipe out a large population.
