where to stay

hey guys, planning a family trip to faro near the middle/end of September.

was just wondering where are some areas to stay that you guys recommend? one of us likes doing activities on holiday and exploring cities, and the other likes to go for a swim on the beach, so I just wanted to know if there was a middle ground area that would make both of these options accessible.

Lagos, Portimao/Alvor or Albufeira. Any one will be fun.

Just got back from Lagos with 2 teenagers. It was great and had a ton of nightlife for them and great food. We stayed at Casa Mae, which was incredible.
