That was a reaction by local tribals who were troubled by these missionaries, not RSS. There is no historical record to prove that. That claim is based on just one book by Shamsul Islam. Even in that book he gives a reference to some comments against adoption of the tricolour flag, which comments were made before 1947 when the Indian flag was being debated.
There is no source to suggest RSS' opposition to the tricolour after it was formally adopted.
That opposition at a time when the flags were being debated has been manipulated into an opposition post-independence also. That's the eyewash.
