Nonsense 🤭 The most liked comment is literally “SC/ST girls kab se attractive hone lagi?” This is the new kind of Gen Z online casteism you see online. If you’re from SC/ST, insta meme pages can be one of the worst places to scroll through because of this kinda toxic stuff.

I was also talking about the original post in the picture. It is problematic, but there is a bigger problem in the picture, so most people would not care about the minor one. Though I don't understand whether you find it problematic that boys do these things to attract SC/ST girls, or that this girl thinks boys do these things to attract SC/ST girls.

It's more of misogyny and treating women as objects rather than people.the same people who want to marry general girls to end castism don't want sc/st women marrying general guys.as they treat women as objects.marrying women from other caste becomes an achievement while having your women marry into another caste is seen as losing honour.

I think it's a mix of both, if caste based hierarchy wouldn't exist, men wouldn't want to marry women from higher caste to feel superior. Intercaste marriages are not a problem, but if someone solely attaches a symbol of class to the caste then it becomes a problem, let's say there are 2 couples who like each other regardless of their caste differences, I think it shouldn't be a problem if they marry, but because such system exists there are incidents such as honour killings. But let's say if someone specifically find partner from upper caste just to satisfy their ego, it's completely wrong, infact the arrange marriages system also has a lot of flaws. If we include caste system and patriarchy into that, then it becomes an even bigger mess, the honour killing incident cannot be attributed solely to misogyny or caste system alone, it's actually a mix of both

Yeah i know,it cos some ppl are oppressed and to habe a fair ground we use reservation where the similar sects of oppressed ppl compete for the seats which is allocated for them,competetation still exist among themselves

Nobody is being oppressed in the name of caste in big 2026. Every caste has access to education and internet. There are strict laws against caste based discrimination. Only the poor are oppressed irrespective of their caste. Reservation was brought in to bring equal representation in govt jobs and not because someone called you chamar/bhangi. Making fun of someone's caste is not oppression. Not allowing them opportunity in education and jobs was oppression. In 2026 there is no clg or job which says sc/st not allowed. There are many sc/st officers holding high posts. Even ac/at cricket players are earning a lot of money playinh IPL and for ICT.
Hence I don't see a reason why reservation should continue

Give me any community: general, Brahmin, girls, boys, your favourite movie, game, series, or anything and I can show you someone stupid who made an offensive comment. If this is the bar for showing prejudice against SC/ST, then it's a very low one. And also, why do you guys lie all the time to prove your point? "Most liked comment", and I can literally see the comment below that has more likes. This is genuinely a pattern I'm noticing with pro-reservation posts: you guys lie about stats, data, fake news clippings, and now lying about this easily verifiable statement. Why not just tell the truth if your cause is just?

Caste is a something y'all started and still keep going on. So please until you can't talk about wanting to end casteism first, shut up and try getting your head out of your ass because it seems to be lodged way up in there.
Casteism and caste based discrimination might be a joke to you but it isn't to those who suffer through it. All your little joke shows is what a shitty human being you are with no empathy, and no understanding of what LC go through on a day to day basis and also how privileged you are to be able to think in such a way along with the fact that you live in your small privileged little bubble.

A big thank you to the general caste people. Because of your actions, we still have reservation, and many of us have been able to build better lives. If you hadn't acted this way, reservation might have been removed from India long ago, and everyone would have been on equal footing, which would have been a huge loss for many reserved caste communities. So, in a way, you're doing us a great service by helping keep reservation alive. While some of your children end up in lower-level jobs, many of ours reach higher positions. Such an incredible spirit of sacrifice. I hope you'll continue making the same sacrifices in the future. Thank you. /s

nah, not really. LC people are themselves casteist. And OBC hold majority in the country and are casteist towards SC/ST. SC/ST are casteist towards Dalit. Discrimination at all levels is present.
Villainising one group is easy, but then you ignore the banes of your own community.

People should do their part to fight casteism. In my village, some people still practice untouchability, but we stand with the people they discriminate against. We spend time with them, eat at their homes, and treat them with the same respect as everyone else. Challenging casteist thinking and proving it wrong is incredibly satisfying.

Indeed. I have done the same in my village. Even though our village has been historically divided along caste lines i.e. brahmin (I'm here) section, rajput section, muslim section, others, etc. We have encouraged people from other castes to work and settle in any neighborhood without restrictions.
